C31

The afternoon light fell on the two people in the room, on their long eyelashes, on the books in their hands, and on their cheeks.

Mo Guhan lifted his hand and gently took down the hand that was right in front of him. He played with it, occasionally pinching his smooth fingernails, or pinching his slender fingertips. He wanted to laugh and ask, "What's wrong now?"

No one had ever treated him this well before. Just as Gu Moyan raised his eyes to look at him and wanted to say something, he was interrupted by a light knock on the door.

He had thought that the person who had followed him just now would tactfully stop following him when he saw that he had ignored him. He didn't expect him to be so persistent. Mo Guhan unnoticeably frowned, but also disappeared in a flash. He agreed.

Gu Moyan didn't care who was outside, he pushed aside the book in front of Mo Guhan, and squeezed his body to get into his arms.

Mo Guhan took the opportunity to pull him into his embrace, and placed his chin on top of Gu Moyan's head. Smelling his hair, he looked at the person who came in from the outside, and slightly narrowed his eyes, as he held Gu Moyan tightly in his embrace.

"Emperor." Ximen Qingfeng stepped forward and respectfully placed his body in front of Mo Guhan, who was seated in front of the table.

"What is it?"

"This subject came to look for Young Master Gu. I saw him in the palace a few days ago, and when I returned home, I was in high spirits. I came to the palace today, so I gave it to Young Master Gu." Ximen Qingfeng did not look up, and continued to keep his head down as he slowly stated his purpose for coming here. It was as if he did not see Gu Moyan and Mo Guhan's movements.

"Okay, leave it here." Mo Guhan raised his head slightly, pointed to the location of the study, and indicated for him to place it there. Then, lowering his head, he asked the person in his embrace, "You don't want to thank him?"

Gu Moyan asked as he hurriedly raised his head to scan the area ahead of him. His line of sight still fell upon the painting and after a while, he lowered his head again and leaned into Mo Guhan's embrace.

"There's no need for that. This subject gave it to you voluntarily. There is no need to thank me. This subject will take his leave." Before the black-robed man could respond to his words, he turned around and walked out of the hall in a disorderly manner.

In the end, he was still a young boy. Sometimes, it was only because of the impulsiveness of his youth that he discovered that he had made a mistake.

Here, Gu Moyan suddenly sat up from the bed, as if he had experienced something terrifying in his dreams. His heart suddenly tightened. Wasn't the canvas picture scroll in his dream the same one he had seen in the corner yesterday? His white clothes gave him a sense of familiarity.

Gu Moyan wiped the sweat off his forehead and gasped for air. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't see clearly who the person in the dream was, whose head was lowered and who the person giving the painting to was, as if there was a layer of blurry paper covering him. He could not see anything, and only knew that the person's voice in the dream was a little careful.

On the other hand, the Gu Moyan in his dreams had a much brighter life than him. As he laid at the head of the bed, he recalled the person's warmth towards him in his dreams. Even in his dreams, he could feel just how happy Gu Moyan was at that time.

It's just a pity ?

Gu Moyan woke up early, ate some porridge, and then went back to his room to fiddle with some stuff.

Zi Ye stood guard outside the door, wondering what the Empress, who had not made any big movements in the past few days, was trying to do. But no matter what he was doing, it was still better than standing at the window all day long.
