C9 Chapter 9

"What the Fuck" I said staring in disbelief. the zombie jumped down from the ceiling and I used my shadows to stab into it's limbs "get that door open?" I snapped as the zombie began to fight out of my shadows grasp.

"shit" I said as it escaped and I started chasing it and blocking it with my shadows as lena tried smashing the glass window and jennifer attempted to open the door "want some help Amelia?" my brother asked just standing around. "why not" I replied and he jumped into the fight after pulling out his sword.

"I thought you were good with a sword" I said as I continue to throw my shadows at the zombie and miss while my brother swung his sword and missed "it seems to be faster then we both thought" he replied.

"you go up I got the rest" I said in case the zombie could somehow understand us. my brother then jumped up while I surrounded the zombie with my shadow, it finally ended when Xavier stabbed it in the head from above.

"he then pulled his sword out of its head and began to walk towards me "well that was fun" he said and walking past me "if that's what you call fun" I replied turning and following him to the rest of our now small group.

"still no luck with the door?" I questioned "nope" Lena responded. "did you try to smash the widow?" I asked "yes but of course it had to be that indestructible type glass" Jennifer replied. I walked over to the window and mouthed to Tyler to stand back.

I then began to use the shadows and hit the glass as hard as I could with the shadows point "nothing is indestructible if you hit it hard enough" I said as I continued to stab the glass window with multiple shadows at once.

after a minute it finally began to crack "how are you doing that?" Jen asked "I control the shadows and make them as solid and hard as possible then I stab things with them" I replied continuing to stab the the glass.

*heart rate level yellow* my watch said as I continued to hit the glass 'dammit not yet I just need a few more minutes and I can get him out' I thought to myself. "Miss I think it best you stop for now we'll figure out another way" Lena said worried *Heart rate is now in the red* my watch said as my breathing began to get worse.

"Amelia enough, move out of my way" Xavier said walking towards me "but...." I said as I stopped and turned to him "just trust me" he said in his normal uncaring tone, and I stepped out of his way.

he pulled out his sword and stabbed it into the spots in the glass I had been hitting and after a few minutes the glass finally broke. we helped out the three people who were trapped inside then began walking back to where we had been staying.

"So your the great Amelia Wayne huh" their group leader Tyler said walking up next to me "the one and only" I replied "I'm Tyler Russo it's an honor to meet another Ace like yourself" he said in a charming tone. "Ace" I questioned "yeah I figured instead of just calling people like us gifted of mutants or something like in comics I'd come up with another term" he replied.

"I see" I said "so your also an... Ace. what's your ability?" I asked "nothing as cool as yours" he said "I can create and manipulate fire" he continued. "nothing as cool as mine huh" I said with a chuckle "so are you sure it's fine to bring us back the rest of your group won't get mad?" he questioned. "as long as I say it's fine, it's fine" I replied.

suddenly we heard a loud bang "was that a gun?" I asked turning in the direction it came "suddenly there was another bang but this time I began to feel a sharp pain "let's get out of here I have a bad feeling" Xavier said. "I think it's to late for that" I said looking down at my stomach "why would you say..." Tyler said as he turned to look at me.

we all stared as my shirt became even more bloody then it was a second ago. I looked up to see everyone staring at me in shock as time began to slow for me. *heart rate in red* my watch said as I fell. before I got the ground I suddenly felt my self in someone's arms. I couldn't see who as my vision began to blur. "Stay awake Amelia" someone said but I couldn't tell if it was my brother or Tyler.

"we need to get her back to wherever your place is and fast" a voice said with a worried tone "it's right around the block c'mon" another voice replied. "c'mon stay awake" whoever was holding me sad as he began to run. "but I'm so...." I couldn't finish my sentence "just a little longer Miss Mel" Lena said. she's the only one who would say something like that.

for me time had slowed, it felt like everything was in slow motion I didn't feel any pain but yet at the same time I did. I wasn't exactly sure how to describe it except that everything was slow until I blacked out.

Xavier's POV

"open the gate hurry up" I yelled as well came out of the house "what happened?" he asked as he opened the gate. "we were on our way back one suddenly we heard a gunshot" I replied as he closed the gate behind us and followed us as we ran into the house and one of the rooms.

"Lena get me some pliers, towels and alcohol" I said putting Amelia on to the bed "yes sir" she replied running out of the room "how do you expect to pull out a bullet no one hear is a doctor" will said.

"I'm going to have to do it myself" I replied
