C16 Take the Medicine!
Shen Qi dropped her head. She took a bath not long ago but didn't dry her hair because she was too nervous waiting for Ye Moxuan to come back. Water dripped from her wet hair onto the floor, creating small puddles around her feet.
"It's true," Shen Qi repeated, but her voice lacked confidence.
Ye Moxuan snorted, grabbed her wrist, and snatched the receipt. "You think you can trick me with this? Who's the one with the guts to make this fake abortion receipt with you?"
He crumpled the sheet of paper and threw it at Shen Qi's feet.
Shen Qi raised her head. Her face paled, and her body trembled. "You-"
The hand around Shen Qi's wrist tightened. Shen Qi felt as if he's about the snap her wrist, but she just frowned from the pain and said nothing.
"Ha, I knew you weren't going to give up easily." Ye Moxuan pulled her onto his laps, and before she could react, placed a small transparent zip lock bag in her hands.
Shen Qi looked down at her hand and saw a white pill in the bag.
Realizing what it might be, her face turned white. Her trembling hands wanted to throw the pill away, but Ye Moxuan was still grabbing her wrist.
"I've always hated women like you, selfish, yet pretend to be innocent and destroy other's families. You even married me while carrying someone else's child. You think I'll allow you to live here comfortably when you came with ulterior motives?"
He opened the bag himself and took the pill out of the baggie. He smiled with evil and bloodthirsty.
"Don't you want to stay in the Ye family? Take this pill, and I'll allow you to stay here as the Young Madam."
Hearing his words, it's obvious what kind of medicine the white pill is. The color in Shen Qi's face disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye, but she could do nothing but tremble violently under his imprisonment.
"No, I don't want to!" Shen Qi exclaimed. "The receipt is real, and I aborted the child! Believe me!"
Ye Moxuan did not reply. He grabbed her jaw with his slender fingers, forcing her to open her mouth, and stuffed the pill into her mouth with his other hand.
Shen Qi tried to resist, but the strength between them was too great. Ye Moxuan grabbed her tightly, not giving her a chance to even move. She could only watch, helplessly, as he stuffed the pill into her mouth.
Once the pill fell onto her tongue, the disgusting bitter taste spread throughout her mouth, making her stomach churn.
"Let, let go."
"Swallow it." Ye Moxuan held her down mercilessly, trying to force the pill down her throat. There were no emotions in his eyes while he did this as if he is an emotionless zombie with no feelings.
Shen Qi couldn't help but retch.
Ye Moxuan frowned.
Ye Moxuan finally let go, seeing that she was really about to vomit.
But once he did, Shen Qi immediately got up and ran.
Ye Moxuan watched as she rushed into the bathroom and vomited into the sink. His handsome face darkened, and the hostility in his eyes intensified.
Shen Qi leaned on the sink and vomited for a while. The bitter taste of the medicine would not go away, making her vomit again and again.
But fortunately, she also vomited the medicine.
After some time passed, Shen Qi finally stopped vomiting, but she was exhausted. She forced herself to get up to clean the sink and then sat down on the toilet, with no strength left in her.
She took a bath just a while ago, but her neck and forehead were covered in a cold sweat.
And then she felt a pain in her stomach.
Shen Qi bent over and clutched her lower abdomen.
She vomited the medicine, so why does her stomach hurt? Could it be that there's still some of the medicine left in her?
Shen Qi's eyes filled with worry at this possibility.
She stood up from the toilet, her face as white as a ghost, and stumbled out of the bathroom while still clutching her lower abdomen.
Ye Moxuan pursed his thin lips. "Where are you going?"
Shen Qi didn't answer and stubbornly walked towards the door.
"Stop!" Ye Moxuan shouted, and to his surprise, Shen Qi stopped.
She stood there for a while and then fell to the ground.
