C13 CHAPTER 13: IT'S GOING TO BE FINE

RICHARD'S POV ✍️✍️

I was helping Rainbow in attending to the guest when I decided to check on Thera because I knew she would be bored alone

Getting to her side, I met nobody and I was a bit panicked

” Barman, do you see any lady with pink hair here?”

“ Yea sir”

” where is she?”

“ Her friend mistakenly spilled wine on her dress. So, they went to clean up”

“ Her friend? Can you describe her please?”

“ Uhmmmm... She is slender with blonde hair... I think the pink haired miss called her Arabella"

“ Arabella??”

“ Yes sir... They should be back soon”

This isn't good. I told myself

Arabella must be up to some mischief. She won't just come here to play with Arabella and the spilling must be intentional. Oh God! I need to check on Thera!

I've been searching all around for Thera. I searched all the girl's restroom, I even mistakenly become a pervert as i barged into a room where a girl was doing her thing. I can't find Thera.

Thera where are you??

Just then, I noticed lots of people gathered at the pool side. It seemed something is going on there, so I ran there to see.

I saw Thera lying in the pool with a big monster behind her!

Shocked and scared. I started shouting.

” please help her... She must not get hurt please!”

I started begging the guest to help Thera out but everyone was as scared as me.

“ Thera! Can you hear me?”

” Richie, I can come out but I'm so scared”

Although she said she was scared, her face was as calm as the sea and she was glowing differently

What's happening?

Oh Richard! Are you drunk?

Thera is down there with a monster and you are here hallucinating?

“ Thera, swim as fast as you can and come out please!!”

” Okay"

She swam really fast and the monster was catching up no matter how fast she was...

Thera swam to my side and came out of the pool

” oh thank Godness! The girl is out"

“ Oh look! The monster disappear!”

“ How come? The monster disappear??”

Truly, the monster couldn't be found in the river anymore as soon as Thera left the pool.

I was truly to help her up because she seemed really tired when she stood up, pushed me and ran towards the female restroom. I ran after her because I was utterly confused as to why she would push me that way.

Is she angry?

Why?. I didn't push her into the pool. So why is she angry?

And why is she panicking? She looked nervous and scared?.

Is it because of the monster? But she was relaxed even when the monster was at her back. So, why now?

I ran after her and saw the most shocking thing of my life.

I was soo scared that I felt drowsy immediately and fell down.

I tried to stand up and balanced myself but when I saw it ...

“ Ther... Thera?”

I wanted to say alot.... Ask her lots of questions or run away and leave her never to see her again but my leg become sloppy and weak ... My mind became cleared and my vision blurred. I lost control of my body as I fell down again and lostd consciousness.

Thera's POV ✍️

Arabella pushed me inside the pool and I got my mermaid figure immediately. I was so scared that my secret would be exposed as I heard humans shouting

“ what is this?”

“ isn't that monster behind that girl?”

“ Oh This girl will be hurt!”

“ Monster inside a pool?? What the heck!”

I became so annoyed when they referred to my fish tail as monster but relaxed that my secret still remains a secret.

I need to leave here but how?

If I should try to swim forward, humans so called monster will surely follow me and by then they would know it's my tail

What should I do now?

“ Thera! Can you hear me?”

I was happy when I saw Richard but still very scared

Richard told me to swim fast and come out but I was scared because my secret must be kept secret no matter what.

But I can't stay here forever. Can I?

I need to go out now!

I came out of the pool and luckily for me, my fish tail disappeared immediately my hands touched the step of the pool. I was still happy when I saw the changes in my body

I'm changing to my mermaid figure again!

I need to leave here!

I was trying to stand up to run to the girl's restroom when Richard came to hold my hand. I pushed away instinctively and ran to the restroom

I changed immediately I entered the restroom

“ Ther... Thera?”

Richard voice came as a shock to me. Then, I realized I didn't close the door when I came in but before I could explain, Richard fell down and fainted

Richard!

“ Richard!!”:

I changed back to human form immediately and ran out to call for help.

“ Where am i”

Richard opened his eyes at the hospital and asked

“ Richard, you' r awake!"

“ You! What are you doing here! Get out! Somebody please send her away!” Richard was really scared

“ Richard, but you are my friend?”

“ I'm not your friend! Just leave! Doctor please send her away!”

“ miss, please leave"

“ Richard please..."

I was so sad that my tears came out unrestricted but Richard turned his face away. Seems he hate me now

“ Mom....”

“ Thera! What happen to you”

“ Mom... C c can y you c console Mee please?”

I was choking on my words as I was crying profusely

“ It's alright my baby”

Mum kept caressing and patting my hair and back as I cried and drifted off to sleep.

” Your awake?”

“ Hm"

“ will you tell me what happened now?”.

“ I fell into the pool at the party today and Richard saw my mermaid form”

“Aghhh"

“ Now, he doesn't want to see me anymore! He doesn't want to see my face anymore. He hates me now!” I broke down again and mum hugged me

“ it's ok my baby.... Shhhhhh ... It's going to be fine”

“ How mum? I lost my friend already!"

“ he will come back”
