C14 CHAPTER 14: WHY DO I HAVE TO LOSE YOU RICHARD?

Later that night, Thera tied her purple apron over her white button up large shirt and purple slacks as she entered the kitchen to vent her anger on the sleeping food stuffs and gas.

Matching in, she came upon the strange sight of pots and pans as this was her first time entering the kitchen. She twisted around a pile of flour bag and picked up a pot.

“ what should I do now?” She asked herself and on her face was sadness.

Her mum, who appeared to be sleeping at that hour, came in sleepily to see her beautiful daughter playing the role of ’THE GOOD CHEF’ in the kitchen. But she knew something was not right. Something was wrong with her

“ Thera, what the hell are you doing here at this hour?” Hannah asked Thera with an angry look.

Hannah being a mother that she is, had gone through alot in life and she knew what her daughter was going through but she was helpless too. She could not help much.

Scanning the kitchen over for a moment as she stood there placing her pink fingers on their shelves. Thera was trying to cook something but Thera being Thera, can't cook anything

“ Mum, I want to cook”

“ For who?”

” Mum, I'm tired! I'm so tired! I don't know what to do anymore. I need my friend Mum"

Tears strolled down her face as she lamented non stop.

“ Thera, it's ok my darling. Richard Will come back to you. I'm certain”

“ Mum, Are you sure?”

“ Yes”

“ I really need my friend back. I don't want Richard to leave me please mum” I sob harder

“ He will come back. I assure you”

The night passed quickly and before she knew it, Monday snowy morning dawned and Thera began her everyday duty of getting dressed up. Tho, the issue of Richard was still very fresh in her heart, she decided to forget it for a while.

Thera found herself in school and she remembered being with Richard, giggling and chatting as they were already besties. walking hand in hand all day

The students were already in class and THERA quickly rushed to her seat on the far left where Richard seat was located. She sat there anxiously waiting for Richard to talk(to her, to tell her to become his friend again.

Richard stood up and all eyes followed his perfect physique and handsome face down to Thera's seat, commanding all attention. he is really a handsome dude

“ Hey Thera, can we talk?”

Thera found herself getting numb at the sight of Richard in front of her desk. It felt like the air had been drawn out of her soul as she continued staring at Richard until)he nudged her bringing her back to life.

Thera robotly stood up and numbly walked out of the class to avoid the gawking eyes of their classmates while Richard followed suit. she really felt like crying right then.

She managed a forced smile and tried to talk casual. to atleast reduce her nervousness

“ Hi Richard,how are you now?”

Richard glanced at her and smiled softly to her as he tried to suppress his flaming anger and replied sarcastically

“ I'm fine, Thank goodness, I wasn't shocked to death by a monster and I am perfectly safe or are you sad that you were not able to kill me? You thought I was dead when I fainted?”

Thera eyes sting with tears “ I am not a monster Richard, I'm a mermaid and i never wish you evil. i don't want you to die and I never intend to kill you. stop calling me a monster”

“ oh wow, Mermaid my ass! You are a monster! A real time fucking monster! that's what you are! you betrayal!”

The sad girl tried to stop the wetness threatening to fall down her cheek " Richard, monsters are evil but mermaids are good. We have a kind heart and how am I a betrayal?? tell me, did you expect me to tell you ‘hey Richard, im a mermaid’ does it make any sense to you?? I kept it secret because it was supposed to be a secret. so I'm never a betrayal Richard!”

“ That's Your damn problem Miss mermaid and I don't give a fuck! but listen to me and listen good! henceforth, I don't want to ever see you around me anymore and don't ever refer to me as your friend again as I can never be a mermaid's friend. you filthy betrayal!”

She was dumbstruck. Although, she expected this but hearing it makes huge difference.

She felt nothing

She felt dead “ No Richard, please don't stop being my friend. Richard please”

Thera felt like her life was put at full stop, like her life was dropped to zero as she kept begging and hoping that that Richard would realize his mistake and that he would come back to her and say sorry. But the world was cruel to Thera and Richard walked away without saying' Sorry let's be friends again' as Thera had hoped for.

Her hope was shattered as hot tears streamed down her red face...

“ No Richard, please come back... am not filthy, I'm clean. I'm not a betrayal, I'm really sincere and loyal! I just couldn't tell you because I didn't want you to leave me but seems like it was a wrong decision but please just wait and understand me. you are my very first friend in human world. don't leave me Richard please stay with me. I promise to make things right and I will never hurt you. I promise. just believe me please don't go~” She cried and pleaded with Richard but Richard ignored her and left!

“ But mum told me he will come back. he came back but only to make things worse. why do I have to encounter this. why do I have to lose you Richard??”
