C17 CHAPTER 17: TROUBLED MIND

Thera was inside the class waiting for her new friend shin ya. She was alone in the class and she was unaware of her classmates whereabouts. She was clueless as to why they all left the class.

Today was the day Mr Idris asked them to meet at the press room by 10:00am. It was already 9:36am already but none of her classmates were in class. How were they going to rehearse? Did they all forget already? Thera was pondering hard.

She sighed and cracked her knuckle as it was becoming stiff. “ I'm so damn bored” She rubbed her eyes “ Shin ya. Where are you?” she called out to her friend who wasn't there and hoped she will come back soon to tell her where they all went to.

Thera opened her bag and brought out her phone to call her friend. The phone rang for a while but wasn't picked up. Disappointed, she dropped her phone and relaxed back on her seat boringly.

" Ugh... Where is everyone?? class is so empty. I'm kinda bored. should I just go home? Oh! I'm fucking bored and lonely. shin ya, where on earth are you??" She lamented to herself."

" Maybe I should just sleep then. I hope they all will be back before I wake up"

Just as she closed her eyes to catch some sleep, her phone rang loud. She opened her bag again and received the call.

“ Hello?” She answered

“ Hey Thera!“ It was shin ya .You called right?”

“ Yes, the class is empty. Where is everyone? Where are you?”

“ You'r right... We are all in the press room waiting for Mr Idris. I searched for you but did not find you. Where did you go?”

“ I was with senior Jessica. Learning how to draw”

“ okay! Come to the press room now”

“ ok” she actually had forgotten about the rehearsal they had that afternoon.

Living as a human wasn't easy for Thera. There were things she had to do as a human that she never had to do as a mermaid. Like: wearing clothes all the time, always wearing panties and shoes. Even though, she had been with humans for months, she still hadn't gotten used to these things. Life as a human and mermaid is world apart. She really can never get used to human life as it is too troublesome for her.

But she cannot stay naked here as people would call her crazy. “ I have to go now” She said to herself, placed the phone back to her bag and wondered how Mr Idris will react if she got there late.

The school press room...

The door cracked and commanded all attention as they all expected Mr Idris to come in but the door opened and there came in their ever troublesome Thera.

"Hey Thera...” Shin ya matched to the door and took Thera's hand.

“ Hi Thera, I thought you've gone home”

“ No rainbow, I was with senior Jessica and when I got to class, I met no one”

“ OH, We've been here for almost thirty minutes... You know Mr Idris detest lateness and we all can't wait to start this drama too”

“ Oh..." She could only reply.

The door opened again and Mr Idris came in handsomely and beamed a smile at the happy students. “ Hey guys! You'r all here wow! I'm so proud of you guys” he winked at them and dropped his ass on his seat, putting down his files on the round table at the center of the room and focused his attention on the curious students. “ Ok Thera, Take these scripts and distribute it to everyone”

“ Ok Mr Idris” Thera said. She picked the script and glanced at her friend sitting down at the corner of the room who smirked and mouthed ‘ Give me first’ to Thera.

Thera smirked back, walked towards her friend and gave it to someone else. Shin ya was astounded and threw an invisible punch to Thera's tummy. Thera grinned widely, mocking her friend and Shin ya formed angry face.

She shared all the script to everyone but two was still left in her hand “ who else?” she asked herself and then she remembered, she was yet to hand Richard his own.

She walked over to Richard's side at the corner of the large room and stared at him shyly... They started staring competition. Stared at each other for a while without saying a word. The silence between them lingered like a toxic shadow, infecting them both with poisonous smog.

Thera tried to give him the script but found her hands trembling. ° you need to act like you don't care” she remembered what her mother said and switched her mood immediately. She smiled brightly “ Take Richard” and stretched her hand to give him the script and Richard collected the script without retracting his gaze. Within his gaze was a battle of emotions, Thera failed to understand but she did not care either.

She walked casually to her seat and sat down gracefully. Intentionally teasing Richard's heart. She was so alluring and damn hot

“ Now, Everyone, I hope you see what's written in the script? Choose your roles and learn the dialogues well. I told you yesterday that I have an announcement to make right? Well .. the announcement is... We are invited for a drama competition at chingual State. That's why we are rehearsing this drama and you know we cannot go there to disgrace our school. So, please let's put our best in this acting and bring honor to our school. We must never disappoint our school"

“ We will never disappoint you Mr Idris”

“ I trust you all... Richard? I want you to work together with Thera and bring out the best in yourselves”

“Okay Mr Idris” Thera answered on behalf of the mute Richard

Mr Idris smiled cutely and stood up tiredly. Packed his files and left the room after winking at the dumbfounded Richard.

“ Yuck! I'm so happy!!!” Rynn shouted and danced around. The whole class smiled and were pleased.
