C8 CHAPTER 8: HUMANS GO TO SCHOOL TOO?

THERA'S POV:

My thought about human is totally different from what I'm witnessing on Earth.Humans are really nice and kind. They are beautiful souls at least those I know. And they are wonderful beings with beautiful mind. They also have the ability to do the things we mermaid have no right or ability to do. I kinda envy them sometimes.

My new parents are so lovely that I'm becoming fond of them and now I already feel like I'm truly their daughter. When mum fainted, I was so scared because I thought she would die and I will be furious and will resent myself if she had died.Also, when she called me a Monster, I felt really hurt and I thought she would send me away from her as that would be what I would hate the most. it would really break my heart

When they asked me about my aim of coming to Earth, that was when I remembered that I have to be done here soon and go back to Pastaya but merely thinking about leaving this couple made me sad, so, I decided to stay a while longer with this wonderful couples and I'm not regretting my decision at all

The next morning....

I wake up very early but Mum is already cooking so I decide to look at the earth through the window. that is when I see humans dressing in the same styles wearing clothes with the same colors and heading to somewhere together. I love their outfit and the way they do, so I went to ask mum who they are and why they put on the same clothes.

"Mum, who are this people and why are they putting on the same cloth?"

"Who?" She ask

"Come and look at them mum"

She join me at the window side and see the humans I was talking about too

"Oh they? They are students and what they are putting on is called Uniform. They are going to school"

"School? Humans go to school too?"

"Yes my daughter, do you want to go to school?"

"Can I go to school? Will humans not hurt me there?"

"No, my baby, humans will not hurt you there... school is safe”

"Then I will love to go mum!"

"I will register you in a school tomorrow my baby"

"Ohh really?? thanks mum!"

I am happy and I hug Mother really tight . Why am I so happy? is it because I am eager to know more about earth?or is it because I want to make new friends? Oops! I don't just know! I am just happy!!!💃

Hours later.... Dad finally arrive back from work as it is getting really late

"Dad, welcome back!"

I rush to him and hug him

"Thank you my daughter, how was today?"

"It was fine dad... Mum even promised to take me to school"

"School? Why? Do you want to go to school?"

"Yes dad. I want to go to school'

"Do you know there are numerous humans in school?"

"Yes dad and I want to meet different humans too"

"Wife! Thera said you promised to take her to school. Why? Don't you think it is dangerous for her?"

"No hubby,I don't think so because Thera is a wise girl who can adapt to any environment"

"But ... High school is a different world!"

I can see dad is really worried for me but why? Why is he worried? Are some humans evil??

"Don't be worried hubby, I will advise her on how to live with humans in her school"

"Better do that"

And then mum walked up to me and held my hands in hers

"Thera my daughter"

"Yes mum"

"School is a very good place, a place where you will learn new things about the world in whole but it can also be extremely dangerous especially for a kindhearted person like you. Thera, when you get to school, you must not tell anybody what you are, also, your age is 18 not 48 ok? You must not disclose your identity to anyone and don't be too friendly with anybody. Do you understand? and make sure you don't trust too much... don't be too friendly and don't be harsh. portray a normal life and be very careful. ok?”

"Yes mum"

I understand everything mum say and I promise to follow her advice. I will be a good girl and I won't put myself in any trouble. I will stay away from dangers on earth

"Thera, I got you some candies"

"Really dad! wow! Thank you"

"Honey, my clothes are dirty, I need to do my laundry today"

Dad turns to mum and says to her

"Oh ok darling" she reply

"Dad, Thera can help with that"

"Oh no my Thera, can you wash clothes?"

"Yes, look"

I pack all his clothes and they all become clean and neat at the wave of my hand. That's one of my supernatural power! we don't have clothes in Pastaya but we do clean our chairs, bed and other things.

"What? Thera, what was that?". Mum ask. she is really surprised and it really amuse me but I'm glad she isn't scared or shocked.

"I used my supernatural power mum"

"Wow! My clothes become new again! Wow! What a great power you used mehnn"

I am so happy because they are happy

"Thera, this is good but you must not do something like this in school ok?"

"Ok mum but why?. Is it bad to use supernatural power on earth?"

"Yes because humans don't have super natural powers. They will try to hurt you if they know about this. They might start avoiding you too”

"I won't use it mum. I promise”

"That's great, let's eat dinner. I'm starving!" Dad shouted not so interested in our conversation any longer. Dad is a glutton hehehheeh

We all slept after dinner...

The next morning, Mum take me to school and I got registered. The school has a very Big and beautiful buildings. White colour but so exquisite.
