She was so taken by surprise regarding what I just said to her, that I felt like she stopped breathing altogether.

She was frozen in place, her chest not even moving, her eyes not even blinking as she kept her eyes fixed on me with a bewildered look.

I smiled at catching her so off guard, that I practically felt like I shot her dead right there as I revealed her stupid lie to me
