Lucas picked up the phone from the coffee table then hid it inside his pocket.

He stood in front of me but I didn’t bother to look up into his eyes.

I was shaking from head to toe, breathing very hard, and crying silently.

Very slowly and tentatively, he started to remove the duct tape from my mouth
