C4 IDEA

"Vreihya, Iha? You had a serious dispute with the mortal as the keeper of his prison had stated to me," here is mother's soft voice again that never failed to comfort me every time she spoke to me.

"I still don't get it! There are other vampires in this world, so why am I the only one who has to deal with this?" I replied calmly. This is a total disaster! I have a good reputation in this world, and I don't want to ruin it by having to rely on a mortal. It could be with a prince from another kingdom, but why with a weakling?

"That's a payment, Vreihya, that's a compensation for the humiliation and oppression we've inflicted on their race," she said as she approached me and gently stroked my long, pitch black hair. Here I am again with the fact that we are the ones who have sinned. We are the ones to blame. We are to blame for everything.

"Why me? Why do I have to suffer? Why do I have to sacrifice?" I asked my mother multiple times. I'm still having trouble accepting this harsh reality. The creature I disdained the most appears to be the one I should ask for mercy.

"Vreihya, please don't make it difficult for me. If you continue to protest, I may lose my only child. I love you my child, and I would rather see you caught in the arms of a mortal than as a cold corpse," my mother said immediately, despite how difficult it is to say those words. She even took her hand off my hair.

As soon as I heard her suppressed sobs, my mother turned away. Mother, you've never been able to hold back your tears. You are still as tender and protective of me as if I were a fragile figure.

"Fine! I'll do it, but I can't promise I won't hurt him," I said emphatically but with respect for her. I got up from the throne I was sitting on and dashed out of the room as quickly as I could.

I began walking down the long corridor of our palace. Despite the darkness, I could clearly see the path I needed to take. I couldn't help but be irritated as I slowly traced the path leading to his cell. It gives me the impression that I'm drying up or need to lower myself.

"These medicines aren't enough, my dear Princess," I came to a halt when I remembered the words of a babaylan to whom mother and I frequently went to relieve the pain I felt whenever my body sought the mortal.

Ever since the accident happened when I was only nine years old, Uncle Alonzo and my mother have not kept the bitter truth a secret from me. I needed that creature to survive, the creature that called me a monster as his father shot me without any remorse.

"Macara, what do you want to convey?" mother asked the babaylan to make her clearer.

"The dear princess is at the right age. Her young body used to be satisfied with these medicines before, but her body now requires the presence of the mortal," she explained.

"No! Macara, can you just make a stronger medicine? I don't want to be anywhere near that creature again. Just make a stronger medicine!" I firmly objected, pressing my sharp nails to the table in front of me. I'll just take the medicine! I'm not going to beg with a weak creature.

"But my dear princess, as you age, I make my medications stronger, but that's all I can do now. It's the strongest I can make, but it'll never be enough."

What she said immediately devastated me. I did everything I could to avoid needing him to live. I read and researched books for solutions, but I couldn't find any because, as far as I know, I am the only one suffering from such a curse. So far, no one has been able to explain why or what exactly our species has done to force me to commit this heinous act.

I sighed deeply as I approached the door through which the creature was imprisoned. They deserved none of my respect. The keeper bowed to me straightaway. I immediately glared at him and I could feel my eye igniting, indicating that it had changed color.

I immediately felt the sudden difficulty of his breathing and the trembling of his knees.

"You're the one who reported to my mother," I whispered to him firmly and slowly. He immediately lowered his head and soon knelt in front of me.

"Dear prince-princess. I'm sorry!" he could hardly come up with a straight sentence because he was driven by fear.

"Get up! I didn't order you to kneel before me!" I growled loudly at him so he wasted no time and he immediately stood up but he bent down while shaking.

I immediately exhaled a sigh. After a brief pause, my raucous laughter echoed down the corridor. He was stunned, and his fearful expression remained on his face. You're too afraid of me. I was only joking!

"Don't be scared, Victor, I'm just kidding haha," I laughed at him, and my frightening aura was replaced by small laughs. I was only joking. There was still a tinge of fear in him, but he chose to smile with respect.

"Mother extends her praise to you. It is very important that a servant in the palace often report to the dear queen," I smiled at him sweetly and he immediately bowed with a smile on his face.

"Thank you very much dear princess," shivers can be traced from him but his voice sounded happy. I immediately nodded to him and he himself put the key in the lock so that I could enter again.

When I walked into the dark room, I was met with an intense stare. The moonlight isn't beaming on him, but I can see him in a corner, and his stares seem to kill me.

"I'm not here for a fight! Fighting with someone like you is exhausting," I stated flatly. With my clear vision I saw his grin. Tss! Humans!

"So what are you here for? Is it just to taste me?" he asked arrogantly. My blood quickly began to boil, but I restrained myself because-

He's right; I'm here to taste him. I'm not complaining anymore because what he said is true. My energy will be squandered if I continue to pretend.

"Actually, I'm thinking about this fun idea of mine," I teased, and my eyes immediately turned red, and I knew he could see it even though the room was dark. He immediately rose from his seat, and I could clearly hear his heart racing. I like how scared he is. A lot.

"Don't come near me, you monster!" he yelled at me. Doesn't he get tired of calling me that over and over? Is there nothing else he can think of?

"Why? What are you going to do?" my footsteps echoed as I slowly approached him. He squeezes himself harder on the pillar on which he is leaning. I like this! I will play with this creature as much as I can.

"Shh! Be quiet. I just want to try something," I teased, and my razor-sharp fangs erupted. They are also ecstatic. They want to taste new blood as soon as possible.

"Fuck! Stay away from me!" he dared to hide his fear, and I couldn't hide my grin any longer. That's right, be afraid of me. I want you to tremble. I will never let you presume you are superior against me. I am still superior and at the top of the food chain, my dear!

I simply cannot wait any longer. I immediately reduced our distance with my speed. I immediately pressed him against the wall against which he was terrifiedly leaning. I could feel his breath on my face. I was only a few inches away from him, but after smelling his breath, I felt like I'm just going to be insane. I'm not sure what's causing it, but I'm feeling a strange heat.

This is not acceptable! My previous confidence had been replaced by a sense of fear, and I wanted to flee right away, but there seemed to be a force pulling me closer. What exactly is this? What kind of enchantment is this? I no longer appear to have control over my own body.

His heart's wild beats had been replaced by a calm throb. What is going on? Why is he no longer scared? We've been in this position for far too long.

I had to force myself to stop putting pressure on him. I moved away quickly to conceal the fact that I was stunned for a few seconds. This is not possible! I must halt it. I can feel his piercing gaze once more.

"Don't come near me again. Disgust-" I couldn't bear hearing the next word that came out of his mouth. Even I don't want to be near you again. This madness must come to an end.

With my speed, I quickly closed our distance, and my eager fangs sank into his neck. He screamed uncontrollably in pain as I felt her body stiffen. I have no intention of stopping . I used to assume that if I consumed all of his blood, I might be completely cured of my illness.

Maybe I just had to drain all the blood in his veins so that I could be completely healed rather than spend the rest of my life with him. Gradually I began to feel as if he was getting weaker and weaker. I pressed my fangs even harder. I will drink everything to ease my agonizing pain.

I will not leave a single drop of blood behind.
