C12 Bedtime Chat

12. Bedtime Chat

Mesya waited anxiously for the doctor's words, hoping that the operation would be successful, of course.

Beside her, Rama continued to strengthen his girlfriend by hugging Mesya's shoulder.

Meanwhile, Rifki slightly moved away to answer the call because his cellphone kept ringing.

"The operation went well, we will see the results in a few days. It's just a matter of waiting for healing. In the future, chemotherapy may be carried out after the patient recovers." The doctor explained in detail, then said goodbye after giving an explanation.

Meanwhile, Rama immediately hugged his girlfriend and kissed her head gently, witnessed by Rifki who was still talking to someone on his cellphone.

He looked furious. His hands even immediately clenched into fists seeing the way Rama treated his wife intimately. Like stealing opportunities.

"Thank God everything went smoothly," Rama said, who got a nod directly from Mesya.

"Yes, alhamdulillah," Mesya said gratefully.

Rama breaked the hug. Realizing Mesya's wet hair. Earlier, he did not have time to pay attention to it because her hair was tied up.

"Err, why is your hair wet, Mey? Was it because it was raining outside?" Rama's eyebrows knitted together seeing the changes in Mesya's face.

"Ah, y-yeah, that's so-" Mesya stuttered again, confused about what to say. It was impossible for her to say that after taking a big bath because of her husband's actions.

Fortunately Rifki approached and stood beside her. "Sorry, I can't see your sister, Mey. Looks like I have to go because I have work to do."

Mesya nodded and smiled stiffly at her husband's flat face.

"You will be punished if you continue to cuddle with that man," he whispered softly, making Mesya glared.

"W-okay, Mr. Rifki. Thank you for taking the time to accompany me here." Mesya said while looking at her husband's sharp eyes, afraid that Rifki would be angry with Rama's treatment just now.

Rifki just nodded briefly then looked sharply at Rama and left.

Rama himself just stared, a little strange with the behavior of the man he had just met. "How come he has a strange face," Rama said, looking at Mesya, who was still standing staring at her husband's back in the distance.

"I don't think so," Mesya answered when her husband had turned at the end of the corridor.

"Yeah, a moment like a good person, a moment later like an angry person. Weird." Rama scratched the back of his head, witnessed by Mesya who looked flat while muttering in her heart.

'If only Rama knew how Rifki treated me.' Mesya immediately shook her head, forgetting the incident that always made her lulled.

Rifki returned home in the afternoon after finishing his meeting at the Buana hotel. As usual, his house was always quiet because his children were still at the tutoring center while Resha was used to going all day and spending time with her friends.

Just as Rifki was about to open the front door, the car carrying Nadia and Arka stopped in the yard. The two of them immediately got off, carrying backpacks and paper bags. Still in uniform this morning.

"You guys are home, how was the lesson?" Rifki asked while hugging his two children alternately.

"It's okay, Pa, Sis Nadia was annoying, last time on the road she was angry all the time," Arka argued to his father.

Rifki smiled then looked at the sullen face of Nadia, who just walked away ignoring him.

"Why is Papa's daughter angry?" Nadia turned around by stomping her feet.

"It was really annoying, did you know, Pa. At the tutoring place, a boy made fun of me," Nadia said with an annoyed face.

Rifki smiled as he invited the three in. "Maybe he likes you." Rifki chuckled seeing his daughter's glared eyes.

"I'm just kidding. Why are you getting so angry? What did he say?" Rifki asked more curiously, seeing his daughter who looked annoyed and funny at the same time.

The three of them walked over and sat in the living room. "He said I was a poor kid, I was spoiled, and I couldn't go to the tutoring place myself and had to be waited on by Uncle Ujang before he could go home." Rifki smiled, sitting next to his daughter. Letting Nadia let her thoughts out.

"That's the truth. It's really true, don't be angry when you digitize it." Rifki smiled as he saw Nadia crossing her arms over her chest while glaring at her.

"Papa is annoying too." Nadia sulked, stood up and went straight to her room.

From the outside, Resha, who had just returned, looked surprised at the behavior of her first child. She sat down, taking off his heels. "What are you doing, Rifki?"

Resha looked at her husband who was removing his tie.

"You mean Nadia?"

"No. My father saw you at the hospital earlier and he asked me. What are you doing there?" Resha's face was sour with a probing look.

Rifki was a little surprised. "Oh, earlier. There is a friend who wants surgery, so I was there to give support. That's all." Rifki answered calmly. In his heart, Rifki prayed that his father-in-law would not know when he took Mesya to the hotel. If this happens, it would not only be Resha who will be angry, but her mother-in-law as well.

"Next time, be careful, Rifki. Did you know, my father is a determined person."

Rifki nodded slowly. Resha stood up and took the groceries back on the sofa. Even in her room, several suitcases filled with groceries from abroad had not been unpacked at all.

Rifki shook his head slowly, not understanding his wife's excessive shopping hobby.

After dinner and relaxing with his children, Rifki went into his room to talk to his wife. "I think I'm going to buy a house for her." Rifki opened the chat while lying on the bed. His eyes focused on Resha from behind.

Resha, who was polishing her face with night cream, immediately stopped, but did not answer. Their eyes met in the mirror that reflected their faces.

"Resha, I'm talking, do you hear me."

"Hm...." Resha answered briefly. Back polishing her face until it looks shiny. Ignoring Rifki who was still faithfully staring at her.

"That's it? That's all the answers?"

"Then what should I do? Pretend to be nice and nod to your heart's content?" Resha turned around, adjusting her nightgown which was only inches from her calf.

The same appearance since Rifki first proposed to her. Still beautiful unchanged, even though she was four years older than Rifki. In addition to regular yoga, his wife also regularly went on a strict diet to maintain her weight. Even been admitted to the hospital, due to lack of nutrition and dehydration. It was not that Rifki never forbade it, it was just that if she has a desire, Resha must achieve it, including torturing herself by eating less.

"Why are you still here, Rifki? Wondering why you were not leaving yet." Resha lay beside Rifki, both of them staring at the same ceiling.

Until Rifki turned sideways to look at her. "Why can't I be here?" Rifki asked idly, wanting to know the reaction of his wife who was too flat and cold.

Nobody knew for what reason, even though he had tried to be a good husband and a good father to his children. But Resha had been getting colder lately.

"Yeah, just wonder, I think you still miss her. I know you well, your libido was really high." She took a deep breath and then closed her eyes.

Unexpectedly Rifki approached and landed his hand on her stomach. "I just want to be here with you. Besides, she's at the hospital taking care of her sister who just had surgery."

Resha's eyes opened again and then saw her husband who had now closed his eyes. "Oh, so you were at the hospital waiting for her?" Resha's eyes narrowed.

Rifki did not answer even though he had not slept. Fortunately, earlier he had given a message to Mesya not to have to wait for him at home hotel. Letting his wife accompany her own sister who definitely needed her more.

"I'm talking to you. Why are you silent? I know you're not sleeping," she groaned, shaking Rifki's hand.

Rifki's eyes opened slightly, looking at Resha who was staring at him deeply. "You did the same, when I said I wanted to buy a house for her, but you just kept quiet," Rifki replied without changing his sleeping position.

"It's okay, there's no need to discuss it, it's up to you what you want to buy her, the important thing is do not drain my pocket," Resha said curtly as she closed her eyes.

"Eum, you don't want to do that first, before going to bed," Rifki provoked idly, making Resha's eyes widen.

"Don't be so weird. We are too old."
