C21 Always Be Patient

21.

Rifki wanted to take Mesya back to her sister's apartment unit. After that he hurried home and talked to his wife who called and was mad at him over the line.

Even Mesya, who was listening, felt uncomfortable.

"Hurry home now, I want to talk to you!" Resha said sharply from the other side.

"Dear, be patient, okay, I hope your wife is much calmer."

"Thank you for your attention."

Mesya nodded, when Rifki kissed her forehead gently. Mesya could not understand it, there was a woman who raised her voice at her husband. And that woman was none other than her husband's first wife. Mesya could imagine for herself how depressed Rifki was in dealing with that stubborn woman.

In fact, according to her, a wife should remain gentle with her husband and face problems with a cool head. Because supposedly, husband and wife were partners in navigating the marriage.

🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

Rifki drove his vehicle feeling chaotic. After what happened, surely his wife would scold him again and as usual he could not do anything.

After arriving at the house, Resha was already blocking him in the living room of the house. Resha seemed to be standing with her hands on her hips.

"Assalamualaikum, Res." Rifki entered and greeted but his wife ignored him.

"We have to talk, Rifki," Resha said fiercely.

"Sit down first." Rifki gestured to the side and Resha lazily followed what her husband wanted.

"You have gone crazy, you're playing around with that girl and taking walks. That's a public place, there's a lot of crowds, there must be a lot of people introducing you even though you're wearing a mask, don't you understand?" Resha said while passionately holding back the pounding anger in her chest.

Apart from not wanting news of her husband's second marriage to be known to the public, she was also worried about her social status and family if they find out, she would be scolded mercilessly. Where should she put her face later on?

"Please be patient, Res, why do you keep getting angry like that," Rifki said, calming his wife who continued to stare at him with angry eyes.

"You're telling me to calm down at a time like this, Rifki? Outrageous! Luckily, the photo that was published was blurry. If your face were clearly visible there, what would you do, huh? Clarification or evasion. You can't be calm all the time just like that. I'm really surprised at you, Rifki." Resha glared and continued to blame her husband.

Rifki himself massaged the importance of throbbing in pain, let alone dealing with such a passionate attitude, which made him feel tired at times with this woman.

Was not the reason he remarried because the woman, who was reluctant to serve him, was always rude to him and never respected him at all. Rifki realized that this was actually a consequence of what he had done.

"Sorry." Finally only one word came out of his mouth to calm Resha down.

Meanwhile, the woman seemed disapproving by continuing to blame her husband. "I don't need your apology, Rifki. What I want is that you be more careful with all of this, so that no one else finds out about you behind your back. Try to imagine if my father and my family knew where I had to put my face, Rifki! "

Rifki nodded slowly then Resha stood up and entered her room. The man was used to giving in and being blamed.

He stood up then walked into his children's room, which turned out to be when he opened the door of Nadia and Arka's room alternately, they were not there. No wonder his wife was angry and shouted as she pleased, because they were not at home.

Suddenly he heard a call from his cell phone that was tucked away in his trouser pocket. Rifki smiled when he saw the name of the caller. Mesya.

"Yes, dear," Rifki said after answering the greeting.

"Is your wife angry?" Mesya's voice sounded worried.

"No, why don't you just calm down. My wife was not angry and everything's safe," Rifki said because there was no way he could say that Resha had just bullied him. Moreover, his second wife also did not know Resha.

"Thank God, Dear. I was worried earlier. Well then, I'll close first, afraid to disturb."

"Okay, don't think too much, later I will definitely find out who the mastermind is."

Mesya ended the call after saying goodbye.

Meanwhile, from the stairs, Resha, who had just come down, overheard her husband's chatter when he was on the phone. Her chest tightened slightly when she heard the tone of her husband's voice when he called another woman. Sounded sweet and soft. It was different when she was with him, which was always colored with small commotions, even though Resha aware that everything was her doing, could not be patient to face Rifki.

There was a feeling of pain that can not be described in words. For some reason she felt sorry for hearing it, even though it was accidental and what she heard was just ordinary chatter.

After all, she himself advised Rifki to find another woman to fulfill his desire. Resha turned into her room and lay down under the blanket. Her hungry stomach was replaced by a tight chest, making it difficult to even breathe. Finally, her tears fell unexpectedly. "God… why does it hurt so much," she mumbled into tears.

🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

In the afternoon, Rifki woke up when he accidentally fell asleep in Arka's room. With a very hungry stomach, he got up and immediately performed the Asr prayer, still in the same room. After that, he went out into the dining room and looked at some of the menus there as if no one had touched them at all.

"Didn't Resha eat lunch?" he mumbled softly.

From the direction of the kitchen came the sound of workers chatting. Rifki went there to ask one of his workers. "Is there anything we could help with, Sir?" The worker asked politely.

"Didn't Resha eat lunch?" Rifki asked to make sure.

The worker shook her head politely. "Looks like Mrs. Resha hasn't come down yet, Sir."

"Oh, well, thank you."

Rifki immediately turned to go to the second floor where he and Resha slept. Rifki opened the door slowly to find out where his wife was, when he heard Resha was in the bathroom, he cancelled to call her. Rifki sat on the bed playing with his cellphone.

Not long after, Resha opened the bathroom door with a fresh appearance after taking a shower. The woman silenced Rifki and did not care at all. She chose a short sleeveless dress which she immediately wore in front of her husband.

Rifki, who was a normal man, of course, felt tempted to see the scene in front of him, even to swallow his saliva. However, he tried to restrain himself because surely his wife would not be willing to serve him. Rifki had to be patient, because his other wife was also having her period. There's no way he could come.

"Why don't you eat lunch?" Rifki asked to divert so that his bad thoughts did not keep imagining it.

Though Resha deliberately teased her husband. Wanted to know if there were still feelings of love for her or not.

"I'm not hungry," Resha answered quietly as she sat across from the bed. "Do you think I'm not beautiful anymore?"

Rifki's brow furrowed at the sudden question. "What does that mean. Why suddenly ask like that?" Rifki asked, looking intently into his wife's eyes.

She shook her head slowly and then looked away. "Just want to know."

"You have always been beautiful, and many women are jealous of you. Is this answer enough to make your heart happy?" Rifki asked with a smile.

He was not a romantic husband but at least he always wanted to make his family comfortable around him. Precisely because of his affectionate and love for Resha all this time, he always relented when women scold him.

"What about that woman?" Somehow The question just popped out of her mouth. Resha wanted to curse herself at that time because she felt that she had no self-respect by asking questions like that, especially Rifki, he was confused.

"Why are you even asking her, what's the matter?" His brow furrowed, trying to digest the meaning of his wife's question. But for a while he still did not understand.

"Oh, never mind." What an insensitive husband, Reshat hought.
