Chapter Three

Getting Married?

Ryan looked around and sighed. It seems that Sonia is right. She isn't coming. Maybe she doesn't think much of him?

He did not think much of her either, she is just someone that he is using, but why is he upset that she did come back?

"Alright let's go!" Ryan said decisively.

If was clear to Sonia that he was in a bad mood but she wasn't bothered anyway, she was just going to coax him with some more s*x!

Thus, after looking around the airport for more than an hour, Scarlett went home dejected.

Scarlett glared at the man who has just kissed her without her permission. Who does he think he is? Who gave him the permission to kiss her without her knowing?

Kyle held his face and looked at Scarlett. He was smiling gleefully.

"....."

Scarlett was specheless with anger. This person just kissed her without her permission and he still has the guts to smile at her?

"Have you lost your mind?! Who gave you the guts to kiss me without my permission?!!" Scarlett yelled. She was so angry.

Kyle smirked at her. "it wasn't a very pleasurable experience anyway. Have you never kissed before?" Kyle asked. It was clear that he just wanted to annoy Scarlett.

Scarlett felt her chest hurt because of the anger that she felt.

What kind of person is this? How did she end up meeting this man today?

"What?! You kissed me without my permission and you still have the guts to blame me?!" Scarlett felt that she had never met a crazier person!

"Hey, that doesn't change the fact that you are bad at kissing" Kyle said similingly.

Originally, he was going to explain why he kissed her but he decided against it. Why does he have to explain himself to this woman?

She slapped him without even bothering to find out what is going on!

He had his own principles and he won't hit her back but that doesn't mean that he can't get back at her.

He will just disgust her then!

Scarlett really did not know whether to laugh or cry now. She had a belly filled with anger and she did not know how to let it all out.

She was so frustrated!

Scarlett was originally happy that she was going to see Ryan after some weeks but who knew that she was going to run into this crazy person?!

Scarlett did not want to talk to him anymore. She just wanted to stay far away from him.

"I slapped you once so we are even!" Scarlett said and walked away decisively.

Kyle chuckled when he saw her leave. He could tell that she was disgusted. Well, serves her right for slapping him!

Scarlett walked into her house dejectedly. She really was very upset. She had raced to the airport to see Ryan but he wasn't there. What terrible luck. And the worst part was that he wasn't even picking up his calls! It seemed that he had decided that he was going to ignore her! He was angry with her now!

It seemed that he was upset about something and he was taking out his anger on her.

Scarlett realized just then that she had just become a way for someone to vent thier anger. If she ever found him again, she was sure that she won't be letting off easy. She was going to make sure that she made things difficult for him! Did he think that she was easy to bully?!

When Scarlett stepped into the living room, she saw her father sitting on the couch. She was surprised. Her father usually wasn't home by this time of the day. What was he doing home? Doesn't he have work to do?

"Dad....why are you home?" Scarlett asked as she went over to sir with him.

James looked up and smiled at his daughter. He just received a call from his friend that his son had already agreed.

The only thing that was left now was to make Scarlett agree to it.

"Oh come sit Scarlett. I have something to talk to you about. It's really important" James said.

Scarlett wasn't in a mood to talk with her father. She wanted to go back to her room and clear her head. She was still very upset over the fact that Ryan was ignoring her.

"Scarlett!" James called out.

Scarlett paused. It was rare for her father to use such a stern tone with her. It seemed that whatever it was, it was really serious.

"Dad.. is it really serious? I'm really tried and I just want to rest to right now" Scarlett tried to find an excuse for her to leave but James wasn't about to let her leave. He knew that he had to settle this today. There was no waiting for later.

No Scarlett. What I have to say to you is really important. Come here and take a seat" James said. He knew that he had to be firm. He had always let Scarlett do whatever she wanted since she young so she was pampered...

"Alright dad" Scarlett agreed seeing that she won't be able to get out of it.

"What is it dad?" Scarlett was the one who started the conversation.

"The thing is Scarlett, you'll be getting married" James said.

Scarlett was stunned. She kept quite for a few seconds before her brain finally processed what her father said. She was getting married?

But she did not even bring Ryan to her father! Did he finally learn to trust her and he already approves of the both of them being together?!

"Dad...do you finally agree that I can make the decisions now?! I'm going to bring Ryan to see you right now dad! Don't worry!" Scarlett said. She was so excited. She finally convinced her father and she did not even have to do anything!

James was speechless. That isn't what he meant at all! He meant that she will be getting married to someone else of his choice! Someone that he was sure would treat his father right!

Like hell he was going to let his daughter get married to that Ryan of a person! He had met the young man a few times and he already knew that he was up to no good! Someone like that, he was only out to use his daughter.

He knew that he had pampered Scarlett a lot. The only way that he could make amends for it now was for him to make sure that she gets married well.

So that she won't be used and she won't get hurt.

"That is not what I mean Scarlett" James said

Scarlett was dragged out of her reverie. That is not what he meant? Then what did he mean? What did her father mean by she was getting married?

"That is not what you mean? Then what do you mean? Why will I be getting married then?" Scarlett asked. She was having a really hard time catching up with this conversation.

"I meant that you will be getting married....to someone else ..not that boyfriend of yours" James said.

Scarlett paused and let the information sink into her for a few seconds. She is getting married to someone else? It's not her boyfriend? What is her father trying to pull? Is this some kind of a prank? Why will she get married to someone else other than Ryan?

Scarlett burst out laughing at once. "Dad....you are really funny. You still know how to pull jokes like this at your age! What is this? I'll be getting married? What a joke!" Scarlett said while still laughing.

James frowned. Does Scarlett really not get what he is saying or is she just doing this to annoy him?

"I mean it Scarlett. I'm not joking. You'll be getting married. To a my friend's son. He just got discharged from the army and..." James did not finish what he was saying before Scarlett got up angrily.

"Dad! What is the meaning of this? Are you asking me to get married to someone that I don't even know? Just because he is your friend's son? Just what is the meaning of this? I don't want to dad. I really don't want to!" Scarlett whined. Just what is this.

James sighed. He knew that it wasn't going to be easy convincing his daughter but he was doing this for her sake. He can't let his only daughter be cheated by someone else!

"I'm doing this for your sake Scarlett! You are my daughter and I want the best for you! I'm not going to be around forever. You are going to need someone to take care of you.... someone gat you can count on in the future. You...." James did not get to finish again Scarlett interrupted him.

"I have Ryan! Dad, how can you force me to get married to someone that I don't even know? Don't you care about my feelings? Dad, you know that I have someone that I love and yet you are forcing me to marry someone that I don't even know! Does this even make any sense at all!" Scarlett continued to yell. She was so agitated.
