Catching A Scumbag (2)

"I think I have to go see her. I have to at least find out what she wants to see me for." Ryan said. He had not forgotten that Scarlett said that she was going to introduce him to her father. Who knew if it had something to do with that?

Of he really could get a brain deal with the Billionaire James Kingston, then his life would be set!

"What?! What do you need to go see her for?! She should know how it feels for someone to stand her up! Don't go...we can continue where we stopped" Sonia said. She tried to entice Ryan into staying. No matter what, she did not want him to go to that woman!

"Don't be like this Sonia. Remember that she said that she was going to introduce me to her father. Maybe this has something to do with that?" Ryan asked. He would never let any opportunity like this pass.

"So what?! You should spend some quality time with me before you leave. You see Scarlett..." Sonia did not get to finish before she was interrupted.

"Can you please stop being so petty Sonia?! You know that Scarlett is important for my career! I can't give her up just yet! I already promised that once I get what I want from her, I'll be with you. Can you please stop being so petty!" Ryan yelled. He was obviously starting to get angry.

Sonia pursed her lips. She knew that if she said anything more...then...she was going to get even more angry. She could not afford to make him angry at a time like this.

She could only bit her lips as she watched him leave. Seriously, what I'd the meaning of this? Even though he was stood up, he still went out to meet that woman!

Even though Ryan kept telling her that he loved only her, Sonia really could not believe it. She kept feeling as if he was with her only because of s*x! That wasn't what she wanted. She wanted this man to love her!

But no...no matter what she did...it could not compare to that slut Scarlett....

Sonia eyes flashed with a wicked light as she was already thinking of a plan. She did not believe that Ryan won't be able to do without Scarlett.

He had wonderful business skills. Why does he have to depend on someone else?

She really wanted this man to herself. She did not want to continue being a lover. She would do anything to get her hand on this man. No one would be able to stop her.

Sonia pursed her lips and looked at Ryan pitfully. She did not want him to go meet Scarlett so she said,

"It's not as if she's told you where to meet. She only told you that she wants to meet with you...how can you run to her like you are her lapdog?" Sonia asked.

Ryan admitted that those words got to him. No matter what, he was a man and he had his pride. How could he stand being ordered around by a woman?

The thing was that he was already used to this arrangement that he felt as if it was something that he had to do no matter what.

Scarlett had been brought up like a princess by her father all her life. It seemed that she had a bit of princess syndrome. Since when did he have to take care of such a princess?

But he still felt like there was something wrong with Sonia's words. He knew that this woman was very scheming. Someone who could seduce the boyfriend of a friend who has treated her really well can't be a good person at all. She probably has other motives for saying this to him.

Even though he had some sort of relationship with her now, Ryan admitted also that he was still very wary of this woman in front of him. He did not know what she was going to do next.

"What are you trying to say Sonia?"

Sonia did not care about the fact that she was naked. She leaned on the man immediately.

"I'm just saying that you should know how to make that woman wait. She doesn't value you. If she values you, she'll convince her father to help you earlier. It's clear that she doesn't consider you at all!" Sonia said.

Ryan felt that Sonia was right. Anyway, as long as he could get the investment on time, he won't worry about other things.

"Alright then. I'll make her wait for a bit" Ryan agreed to it almost immediately.

Sonia smiled. Her plan was already in place. She was tired of being second fiddle to that annoying woman Scarlett

So what if she had a rich father? So what if she is an heiress? In the end, she could not keep her man at all!

"Why don't we go another round while we are waiting for her?" Sonia asked.

Ryan smiled. This was exactly what he was thinking. It did feel great to cheat. It was an amazing feeling.

Scarlett and Ryan were meeting in a hotel bar. Scarlett was looking at Ryan with so much guilt. The both of them have been together for so long and he had worked so hard so that they can finally get married but her father actually wants her to get married to someone else right now! How can she accept something like that?! She definitely won't be getting married. No matter what that old man says! She woke get married if it's not with Ryan!

"Scarlett, what happened earlier today? I waited for so for so long. You said that you were going to come pick me up but you didn't even show up!" Ryan was still angry about being stood up like that.

"I'm really sorry Ryan. A problem cropped up at home" Scarlett decided to use that excuse. Anyway, she won't tell him about running into that arrogant foolish jerk. Besides, what she wanted to tell him was much more serious than that! They did not have the time to deal with those petty stuff.

"Anyway Ryan, I have to talk to you about something really important. I'm....my father wants me to get married!" Scarlett finally blurted it out.

"What?!" Ryan was so shocked that he stood up at once!

She is getting married? To him?

"Does your father... already approve of us being together?" Ryan asked Scarlett.

Scarlett shook her head. Disappointment was clearly all over her face. This was what she thought at first. Who knew that her father already has other plans of forcing her to get married to someone else? How can she stand for something like this?!

"No...my father...he wants me to get married to the son of his friend" Scarlett said.

Ryan slowly sat back down. Her father wants to marry her off to someone else? The son of his friend?

Her father is such an influential person. The son of his friend....must surely be someone better than him right?

He already said that he did not love Scarlett but when he heard that she was getting married to someone else...he felt like someone was being stolen away from him.

"Are you ..are you going to do it?" Ryan asked her. He knew that arranged marriages wasn't something new for people like them.

"No of course not! I'll never leave you Ryan!" Scarlett said.

Ryan could not explain why but when he heard the woman say that she won't leave him, he felt as if he was on top of the world.

He already said that he did not love Scarlett but when he heard that she was getting married to someone else...he felt like someone was being stolen away from him.

"Are you ..are you going to do it?" Ryan asked her. He knew that arranged marriages wasn't something new for people like them.

"No of course not! I'll never leave you Ryan!" Scarlett said.

Ryan could not explain why but when he heard the woman say that she won't leave him, he felt as if he was on top of the world.

Even though he was comforted when Scarlett said that she won't leave him, he still knew that it wasn't just about her opinion here. He won't be able to fight against her father and he didn't even want to do it. It was just that....it was too bad that Scarlett was getting married before he could even use her.

"What are you going to do now? You can't go against your father right?" Ryan asked her.

Scarlett who wanted to tell Ryan about her plans paused. From his words, it seemed that he had already given up hope. Shouldn't he be comforting her that he was never going to give up on her right now? Why did it seem as if he couldn't wait to be done with her?

"Ryan..do you think I'm a burden?" Scarlett asked him.
