C10 Of Course a Couple Has to Sleep in the Same Room!

Huo Niannian couldn't stop the whirlwind of thoughts about Gu Tingshen's mentor from swirling in her head. To be Tingshen's teacher, he must be quite the exceptional person.

As she considered the likelihood that her own parents were people of great refinement, she felt a surge of pride mixed with a pang of inadequacy. The reasons behind their decision to abandon her only added to her bewilderment. Why had they given her up in the first place?

That evening, Huo Niannian didn't have to return to the youth hostel. As Gu Tingshen's wife, she moved into his private residence, a charming two-story white villa.

After eagerly exploring her new home, Huo Niannian stopped at the entrance to the large bathroom, her excitement bubbling over as she asked Gu Tingshen, "Can I use this bathroom?"

Gu Tingshen gave a casual nod and said, "Yes, but you'll need to clean it thoroughly afterward."

"No problem, I'm off to take a shower!" she exclaimed with glee.

Brimming with joy, Huo Niannian grabbed her toiletries and darted into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. She quickly figured out how to operate the jacuzzi and settled into a luxurious soak.

For the first time, Huo Niannian genuinely felt that marrying Gu Tingshen was a wonderful turn of events. Having grown up in the slums with frequent water and power shortages, a bath was a luxury she seldom enjoyed. She had always envied the graceful women on TV who relaxed in their spacious bathtubs.

Her childhood dream was simple: to have a large house with a bathtub for bubble baths. Now, it seemed her dream had finally come true.

The relaxation was so profound that Huo Niannian drifted off to sleep in the tub, only to be startled awake by a tap on her face. Opening her eyes, she saw Gu Tingshen's stern face close to hers.

Startled, Huo Niannian sprang up, momentarily forgetting that the frothy waters were her only cover from his gaze...

Taking in her soaked appearance, Gu Tingshen commented critically, "Your figure is decent, though your breasts could be larger."

Lulled into a deep comfort, Huo Niannian had drifted off to sleep in the tub. She vaguely felt someone patting her face and, upon opening her eyes, was met with Gu Tingshen's stern visage inches from her own.

He was looking at her with impatience. "I thought you were dead," he said.

With a shriek, Huo Niannian stood up in the bathtub.

But she had forgotten that staying submerged in the frothy white bubbles was the only way to preserve her modesty...

Gu Tingshen eyed her drenched figure and offered a critical assessment: "Your figure is passable, but your breasts are a bit small."

Instantly, Huo Niannian covered her chest, crouched in the tub, scooped up a handful of water, and splashed it at Gu Tingshen. "Get out!"

Wiping the beads of water from his face, Gu Tingshen's mood shifted to one of amusement. "What part of you haven't I seen? Have you forgotten about last night already?" he said lightly.

Huo Niannian clamped her hands over her ears, refusing to listen, her embarrassment reaching fever pitch.

After Gu Tingshen left, the thought of continuing her bath was the furthest thing from her mind. She quickly dried off and wrapped herself in a bathrobe.

Just as she was about to leave the bathroom, his words replayed in her head. She couldn't help but look down at her chest and grumble, "My breasts are not small. Clearly, you're the one with poor eyesight."

Stepping out of the bathroom, Huo Niannian didn't see Gu Tingshen on the first floor, so she made her way upstairs, asking, "Where am I sleeping tonight?"

Gu Tingshen stepped out of a bedroom, freshly showered and wearing a bathrobe, toweling his hair.

"Sleep here," he said, pausing by the door and motioning for Huo Niannian to come in.

She moved toward the bedroom, reaching for the door to close it, but Gu Tingshen followed her inside.

"Why aren't you leaving?" she inquired.

"Why would I? This is my bedroom," he responded plainly.

Huo Niannian looked at Gu Tingshen, dumbfounded. "What?"

"We're married. I have no intention of sleeping in separate rooms."
