C11 She Saw the President's Power!

Huo Niannian hastily interjected, "Aren't we in a contractual marriage?"

"Marriage is a contract by nature," Gu Tingshen responded, drawing nearer to her. "Why are you so shy? We've already slept together, remember?"

As he spoke, he began to untie his bathrobe, his well-defined abs faintly visible beneath the material.

Huo Niannian's face turned beet red. "I don't remember anything from last night!"

"That's all the more reason to refresh your memory," Gu Tingshen chuckled, moving closer to her.

The night before, despite Huo Niannian's nonsensical chatter, nothing had happened between them.

She had taken the initiative to undress and unbuckle Gu Tingshen's belt, but after stripping, she had fallen into a deep sleep, and Gu Tingshen had merely taken her jade pendant—nothing more.

Now, Gu Tingshen was steadily advancing, backing Huo Niannian up to the edge of the bed, leaving her no room to retreat.

In one smooth move, he grasped her delicate waist.

Panic-stricken, Huo Niannian leaned back, causing them both to collapse onto the bed.

"Mr. Gu, can we discuss this further?" she stammered, her face radiating heat.

Yet Gu Tingshen's hand was already exploring the opening of her bathrobe, caressing her silky skin with a gentle touch.

Huo Niannian's blood seemed to freeze, her breathing nearly stopping.

Gu Tingshen had merely meant to tease her. He was surprised to find that she, who had so openly talked about sex in front of others, was actually quite shy and naive.

Her flustered state unexpectedly ignited a desire within him.

From a young age, Gu Tingshen had been singularly focused on his studies, later dedicating himself entirely to the corporate world. Although many women had thrown themselves at him, he had never been emotionally stirred. Yet, in Huo Niannian's presence, he found himself unexpectedly losing control, which even he found surprising.

"Didn't you say you'd do anything to meet the original owner of the jade pendant?" he whispered, his lips tantalizingly close to hers, his tone dripping with allure.

Her voice was tinged with desperation, her eyes filled with a sense of helplessness.

Gu Tingshen found the situation rather amusing. Many women vied for the chance to be in his bed, but she was the first to actively resist such intimacy.

"Who you were before doesn't matter. You're my wife now. Isn't this what spouses are meant to do?"

He placed his hand on the jade pendant at her chest, a mute reminder that her obedience was the key to meeting the pendant's true owner.

Huo Niannian bit her lip and closed her eyes, "Alright, but please... be gentle."

She lay on the bed like a martyr awaiting their fate, steeling herself for the man above to proceed.

Gu Tingshen's eyes darkened, and he gently pressed his lips to hers. After a lingering look, he finally let her go.

He stood, wrapped himself in his bathrobe, and said coldly, "If you don't want to, I won't force you. But I didn't intend for us to sleep apart for the next three years."

With that, Gu Tingshen left the bedroom.

After he departed, Huo Niannian quickly got up, closed the door, and locked it. She even propped a chair against the doorknob, her pulse still racing, before letting out a long, relieved sigh.

Her mind was a jumble as she thought about the past couple of days. Only at four in the morning did she finally drift off to sleep.

She slept well into the afternoon.

The chair at the door remained unmoved. She stepped out of the bedroom to find the villa deserted.

On the kitchen table lay a note from Gu Tingshen: I'll pick you up at six this evening. We're visiting Grandpa's house. Make sure you're dressed beautifully.
