C7 Chapter 7

Queenie couldn't believe what she heard, but it echoed over and over in her mind.

She could not accept that a one-night mistake had led to pregnancy. The possibility that she might get pregnant after that incident did not even enter her mind.

It was as if heaven and earth covered Queenie. His dreams crumbled like bubbles.

How is her study now that she is pregnant?

How about her work? And how to tell Ralph that he is now a father?

Queenie burst into tears, even though she had asked these things a few thousand times and still there was no answer or if there was something it was definitely not good to know.

Why did this have to happen to her? She suddenly remembered her biological mother, perhaps this is how she felt when she suddenly became pregnant with her.

Perhaps her mind was also confused and did not know what to do. But yet she will not be like her mother who abandoned her just to continue to reach her dream.

She will raise her child and give her a good future to the best of her ability. "i love you so much, baby.

I will not leave you. Thank you for coming into my life, Queenie said passionately as she caressed her still flat belly.

Even Mia, her friend couldn't believe Queenie's condition, even she was shocked and didn't expect it.

"When did this happen Queenie?

"Do you remember when we went to Q province and Ralph and I were left behind when you went to sleep?"

"I see, is that why you're annoyed with Ralph because he didn't recognize you when you met again?"

Queenie nodded softly and bowed in embarrassment. She knew Mia wouldn't judge her but she was still ashamed, not only of Mia but also of herself.

Yet Mia wholeheartedly accepted this matter, she knew Queenie she knew it was a good person. She may have made a one-night mistake but that doesn't mean this woman is inferior.

She witnessed how Queenie struggled to survive herself and reach her dreams so even she was also hurt by Queenie's situation because she also knew that Queenie might not be able to continue her education because of her pregnancy and its dreams?

"What are your plans now?

Mia asked again. "Of course, I will continue my pregnancy"

"When are you going to tell Ralph?"

"I have no intention of telling her" Queenie sighed deeply.

"Why not?

She has an obligation to you and has the responsibility to your child" Mia suddenly stood up in her chair, she was against what Queenie wanted to happen.

"I don't want him to get involved in my problem,' Queenie replied shyly. "Why don't you want to involve him?

You need to let him know. You two enjoyed it so you two should also sacrifice' Mia replied angrily, she wanted Queenie to wake up.

"T'm afraid of how she'll react and she can accept it," Queenie Cried again.

Mia just shook her head and hugged Queenie. Right now, all Queenie needs is sympathy and she is ready to accompany and support it.

"That's enough, don't cry, it might have a bad effect on your baby" Mia wiped the tears from Queenie's eyes and smiled to ease the feeling.

"Thank you, you are here next to me. Thank you for your understanding" Queenie said passionately and hugged Mia. This is the scene Ralph came across.

He immediately approached Queenie.

"What happened?

Does anything hurt you?

Why are you crying?' Ralph asked worriedly and held Queenie's hands. Queenie looked at Mia before she answered.

"Don't worry, I'm fine."

"What did the doctor say?

Why do you seem to be sick?"

"Tm just so tired, I just need to rest, Queenie averted her eyes, afraid that Ralph would notice that he was hiding something.

"Wait, Ill call my doctor friend so we can ask for a second opinion."

"Don't!" said Queenie and Mia at the same time. Ralph was surprised by the reaction of the two.

"Why?

What's the problem?"

"Nothing... no problem so don't call your doctor friend" Queenie reasoned.

Ralph stared at Queenie intently, Queenie tried to avoid Ralph's eyes. Because of this, Ralph became even more suspicious that Queenie was not telling him something.

"All right, I'l just talk to the doctor who looked at you earlier" Ralph turned around and approached the nurse counter, he didn't wait for Queenie to answer because he knew it would only stop him again.

Queenie took a deep breath, it's a good thing she already asked the doctor who looks at her earlier to not let others know about her condition.

Just a few minutes later Ralph came back and smiled at him before speaking.

"You can be discharged, said the nurse, your doctor told earlier." "All right, I want to go home too," Asley agreed.

Okay, I' fix your discharge paper first he turned around and walked towards the cashier to pay Queenie's hospital bill.

Queenie wanted to stop Ralph and let Mia pay the bill but he quickly went away, obviously, he had no intention of letting her stop him. When she got home, Queenie immediately went to bed.

Again, the tears flowed into her eyes. She still couldn't help but worry about what might happen to her and her child. She needs to think carefully about what her next steps are. She didn't want anything bad to happen to her baby.

She promised to do everything she can to give birth to her child properly. She wouldn't let it get away from her.

It didn't matter if she couldn't graduate college, the important thing was that she and her child were together through thick and thin.

"Queenie, that's enough for you to cry. You need to rest and strengthen so as not to affect the health of the baby in your womb."

"Thank you, Mia. If you weren't here I might not know what to do." "Be strong. If you need anything just say it so I can help you." Queenie nodded and forced herself to stop crying.
