C8 Chapter 8

The next day, when Queenie woke up, she felt like her surrounding was spinning because of the dizziness she was feeling.

Her stomach was also sour so she got up and ran to the comfort room to vomit. After vomiting she seemed to be weak and the sweat was granular on her forehead.

This is how a pregnant woman feels, Queenie said to herself. Yet she needs to settle down for her baby. She moved quickly preparing to go to the school.

She was not able to have breakfast because she felt that she would just throw up what she was going to eat again so she decided to go in without having breakfast.

When Queenie got off the bus, she was surprised to see Ralph in the waiting shed. And it was as if he was really looking for her because he immediately smiled when he saw her. He came closer and helped her get off the bus.

What is the game of this man? Or maybe she just feels guilty about what happened to her last night at the pageant, when Queenie remembered what happened last night her face suddenly turned red, she suddenly felt ashamed of having collapsed.

How will she explain what happen to the President of Business Administration? They lost because of her, thinking

about the amount of money they spent on the gown and buying her accessories, not including the amount they paid to her trainer made Queenie sick. "Oh, why is your face red? Ralph asked noticing this.

"i remember what happened last night, m embarrassed, Queenie vowed her head as she walked past and to avoid meeting many students, who were sure they were talking about what happened last night.

"What are you ashamed of, what happened last night is an accident? It's a good thing nothing bad happened to you" there was concern in his voice. Queenie suddenly shuddered at Ralph's concern.

Maybe it's nice to be take care of him. However, Queenie's decision not to let Ralph know she was pregnant was final. She will only finish this semester and then temporarily stop studying until she gives birth.

When they arrived at the entrance of Queenie's school building, Ryan was also waiting there. He immediately ran towards them when he saw them coming. "Queenie, how are you? I'm sorry I found out late.

I couldn't watch last night because I went with my mommy to meet her friend" he said worriedly. "T'm fine, don't worry" Queenie replied sparingly and smiled at Ryan. He then turned to Ralph to say goodbye as wel. "T'm okay

"How can I call you, I don't know your number?"

"I already saved my number on your phone."

"What?!

"Last night. Bye!"

Ralph turned around and left quickly, it seemed to be avoiding more of her questions. Ryan invited her to enter the building, "Let's go Queenie." "Okay.

Queenie went into the café shop early to talk to her manager if she could be transferred to a branch that is far from here to avoid meeting Ralph.

That's right, she's the only one who needs to sacrifice, she doesn't want to hurt Ralph and she's not sure if he'll accept her pregnancy because since they met again he hasn't treated her well and seems to have forgotten that night they spent together.

"Ma'am after this semester can I transfer to C Province?"

"C Province? Why?"

her manager asked curiously. "Ma'am, I have something to tell you, but please don't let anyone else know?"

"All right, what's this?"

"Ma'am, l'm pregnant, it's been 4 weeks," Queenie bowed her head in embarrassment.

"How did this happen?

Don't you have a boyfriend?"

"It was just a one-night mistake Ma'am. He's not my boyfriend" and Queenie finally sobbed. No matter how hard she tried in her own eyes to just accept the incident she still couldn't avoid being hurt, not only for her but above all for her baby.

She knows the truth that even if she will do everything for her child, there will still be something lacking in his personality because he will grow up without a father.

"Why do you have to stay away? It would be nice if you were here so we could take care of you too."

"I just want to stay away first to avoid gossip." "Anyway, I'l talk to our branch manager in C Province."

"Thank you very much Ma'am!" "You're welcome. As long as you always take care of yourself." "I will. All right, I'll work first." Queenie was used to hardship.

She was used to stretching her bones so it was no longer a big deal to her. And at least, now she has her own family, she have now the reason to work harder.

Meanwhile, when Queenie came out of the counter, Ryan was there.

"Ryan what are you doing here?"

"Buying coffee. Is it forbidden?" teasingly smiling at her.

"No, I'm just surprised, because you didn't mention earlier that you were going here." "Actually, I want to tell you something during your breaktime."

"It's three hours before my breaktime, l'l just started my work." "It's okay, I'm willing to wait." "Just go home first, if you want just come back after three hours.

"Okay, how about I will just pick you up later and send you home?"

"All right, that's even better." "Alright, so bye for now." "Bye!" After Ryan left, Queenie was busy taking care of customers all day. There are times when she temporarily stops because she feels dizzy.

However, she managed to get through her full day at Work.

Coming out of Queenie's work Ryan was already there and waiting for her.

"Hi Queenie!"

"Hi! Have you been there for so long?"

"I just arrived" "What is the important thing that you would like to say?"

"Well, after what happened to you last night I was very worried you. And I regret why I didn't let you know how I really felt right away" "What do you mean?"

i like you Queenie. From the first day we met, he said without flinching. Ryan finally admitted to her how he really felt but it was impossible for her to accept it because of her condition.

Who is a sensible man who would want to adopt someone else's child. And most of all, she can't let him know that she's pregnant because there's a big possibility that Ralph will also know this even though these two arent close but still they are cousins.

"I'm sorry Ryan. Can we just stay as friend? I'm not ready for any relationship right now" As the month went by Queenie's belly was also slowly bulging so she had to wear loose clothes to hide her growing belly.

She met Ralph again. She hadn't seen it for almosta month so she was surprised when he suddenly entered their classroom and walked towards her chair.

He handed her an invitation. It's his birthday this coming Saturday and he wants to invite her. She had no intention of going but he insisted on placing the invitation in her hand.

"I want you to come. And I will wait for you, he said as he turned around and left the classroom. Queenie was stunned and even her classmates were amazed at what Ralph did.
