C9 Chapter 9

As soon as Queenie entered the gate, she was Overwhelmed by the splendor and size of the mansion in front of her.

Just at the gate, you can hear the melodious music and the whole yard was decorated with beautiful lights.

There are also many guests present who are busy talking and it can be seen in their appearances that they also come from wealthy families.

Queenie suddenly stopped, she didn't seem to fit into this place. She will only look like garbage if she stays beside the beautiful women here who are all wearing expensive gowns and jewelry.

Queenie turned around and was about to leave when she heard Ralph's cold voice.

"Queenie!" She didn't even notice that he was approaching.

Even if she wanted to leave now, it was too late because Ralph had already seen her. So, she just let out a deep sigh and faces it.

But to her great surprise, Ralph was not alone. There is a very beautiful and elegant woman anchored in its arms.

And she's not a fool for not knowing what the relationship between the two is as clear as the sunshine that she's Ralph's girlfriend, doesn't need to ask him anymore.

Just like before, Queenie used her poker face again. She smiled sweetly at Ralph and wished him a happy birthday.

"Happy birthday Ralph!"

she was reluctant to give the gift she had prepared but it would be more embarrassing if she didn't give anything so she finally handed her gift to him.

Please be patient with this gift of mine. He also smiled sweetly at her and thanked her and invited her to come inside.

"Thank you!" As Queenie expected, she was actually out of place at this birthday party. She never talked to Ralph again, she just kept watching it and the woman who was with Ralph before never left him either.

Since she also doesn't enjoy this party, Queenie decides to leave when she suddenly meets Ryan.

"Hi, Ryan! Actually, I was about to go home."

Ryan was so happy to see Queenie, he didn't expect that. He didn't know that Queenie and Ralph were close, he knew that the only ones invited to his birthday party were his relatives and close friends, so Queenie belongs to his close friends.

"By the way, I didn't know that you and Ralph were close."

"We are not close.

I really don't know why he invited me here for his birthday"'

Queenie said shaking her head. "Really?

Maybe my cousin is interested in you too." "That's also impossible, you can see how beautiful his girlfriend is."

That's Trina. All T know is that they have been broken up for a long time ago."

Why it seems like they are together?"

"Why are you jealous?

"No way!" at once she stared at him. After a few talks, Queenie said goodbye to Ryan, she really wanted to go home now, but he stopped her from leaving.

He said that he also needed someone to be with because he was not too close to the guests there. And it's good that Queenie is here because he has someone to talk to.

She was ashamed of Ryan that she just keeps refusing his requests so Queenie agreed to stay. Might as well, enjoy the

night, enjoy the party. And while they were happily talking and laughing with each other, Ralph approached them and the woman who had previously clung to Ralph's arm was still with him.

"Cousin happy birthday!"

"Thank you! Please enjoy the night."

"Sure! Hi Trina! How are you?

When did you arrive?"

Ryan greeted the woman with Ralph. "Hi, Ryan! I just arrived today, just in time for Ralphis birthday.

You knowI can't miss this important event in Ralph's life"

"Well, are you back together again? Ryan couldnt bear to ask.

"Hahaha...Trina laughed seductively. "What you see, is what you get' she said meaningfully.

"Enough for that. Please excuse us, I just need to entertain the other visitors, Ralph said as if to avoid talking about what he has with Trina.

Ryan also happily wished Ralph a happy birthday and after thanking Ryan he left them.

As the night deepens and the guests have more fun. They also started playing sweet songs and invited everyone to dance.

Ralph and the woman with him immediately took center stage on the dancefloor. Suddenly, her eyes got sore at the scene in front of her.

She could not bear to see the two were almost hugged each other while dancing, so she just averted her eyes in a different direction.

"Shall we dance?"

Queenie was surprised when Ryan suddenly asked her to dance, she wanted to refuse but she didn't want to embarrass him so she reached out his hand that had been waiting for her consent.

The sweet melody was realy engaging but she seemed to want to regret why she agreed to dance with Ryan when she saw him stand near Ralph.

Queenie saw that Ralph also looked at her but immediately looked away and looked again at the woman he had been dancing with.

And since they were already here, Queenie didn't flinch anymore and immediately put her hands on Ryan's shoulders. Perhaps he felt her awkwardness so he began to tell her fun experiences in dancing that also gave Queenie comfort and because of this she quickly forgot her situation and that of Ralph.

Ralph keeps glancing secretly at Queenie and Ryan. He doesn't like to see the fun of the two talking while dancing. When Ralph couldn't stand it anymore, he said goodbye to Trina.

Ralph took a few steps closer to Queenie to ask her to dance when the music suddenly stopped. So as not to be embarrassed, Ralph walked straight to the back of the house and didn't even look at Queenie as he passed them.

Queenie also told Ryan that she would just find a place to relax first, she felt dizzy from the various lights around and added to it the noise and crowd around her coming back and forth.
