C3 Lord of traps
Because it serves as a border between twenty Iron rank villages, this forest is known as the Iron boundary forest.
Aside from that, this forest was the primary source of wild fruits, grains, meat, and firewood, but it has now become a haven for demonized beasts and humans.
It wasn't much of a home for Lin Feng, but it was a place that hampered his growth because almost everyone he devoured was a normal human.
He had been in the undead mode for about five hours and had already caught and devoured ten ordinary humans, all of whom were females.
He was currently devouring the flesh of a young girl of about 14 years old after devouring her attractive elder sister.
Despite the little girl's wailing, he didn't let go of her and continued with his meal until his hunger was satisfied.
His tattered clothes have been soaked in blood, and his mouth contains the remains of flesh that he has devoured, with the blood serving as a face paint.
[Congratulations, host, your cultivation has advanced to the fifth gate after devouring flesh and energies.]
Hearing this, a smile crept across his face, a smile that would scare anyone because he was still a zombie, and zombies cannot smile.
Before becoming a cultivator in this world, one must pass through ten gates.
Each gate successfully breached will result in an increase in the individual's strength.
He had previously broken through the first four primary gates, but when he reached the secondary gates [fifth - ninth], he was hit with a bottle neck.
Fortunately, now that he has a system, he has finally broken past that state, and his future is limitless; only cultivators can pass through the fourth gate.
Lin Feng moved through the forest until he arrived at the village, which was teeming with sane humans fleeing the horde of erratic zombies, who, despite staggering and occasionally falling, were still able to move as fast as they could.
"If I were to take human form..."
Then, won't these zombies come after him, kill him, and devour his flesh, just like they do to humans?
"First and foremost, I need to obtain a good sword to protect myself; since everyone is scarred out of their wits, I can use them to achieve my goals, hehehe, I'm a genius."
"No, no, no, not my daughter!"
"Ha, my d*ck, waaaa, I'm gonna be a zombie without a d*ck."
"Nooo!! Mom, I'm your daughter; please don't eat me, no, no, no!!"
It was also filled with cries, indicating that clearly everyone in this world is unaware of what the apocalypse truly is, and they are all acting as if demons from hell have descended and invaded the human body, using them as flesh weapons to carry out destruction.
Only few of the literate once knew about it, but in an altered form.
To them, these zombies are overpowered, despite the fact that they are just as strong as they were before the apocalypse, with the exception of zombies that have devoured human flesh, which may have greatly increased their powers.
Looking at it another way, it's actually a good thing they're so terrified of the apocalypse because it makes all his kills easier, even when confronted with a cultivator.
Thinking about this, he began walking properly like a normal human; he only has thirty minutes before he can exit this mode, implying that he can survive without having to devour.
Seven hours had passed and he could now undo the zombie mode, but he was not a fool.
Why would he return to human form if he hasn't protected himself from the dangers of being eaten?
"System, will these zombies pursue me if I take human form now?"
[Yes!]
"Why?"
[Because, at this cultivation level, you're nothing more than a normal human being; only after you've passed through the ten gates will you be able to live freely without fear of being attacked by zombies.]
"Hmmm, if I'm in human form, will I be able to absorb more energies? From the looks of it, the zombie population outnumbers humans."
[Correct!]
'Great!' He yelled in his heart, then continued moving. Whenever he gets hungry, he simply kills anyone available, regardless of gender or age.
This was until he came across a blacksmith shop that was still open but the owner was no longer there. He entered the place and, of course, there were weapons of various types, but they were of low quality, which was better than having none.
He took one of the swords forged from vampire alligator scale and horned shark core.
Nonetheless, something sounded like metals clashing against each other the moment he grabbed the sword.
He looked up to see a heavy metal falling quickly through the air to where he was standing.
"Damnit! Doppelganger"
After using Doppelganger, his clones formed and immediately began using their bodies as meat shields to keep Lin Feng safe.
This allowed him to finally pick up the sword and leap backward while his clones died from the forceful impact.
"You cretins, you are not a zombie, you are a human disguised as one, none of these zombies, not even the strongest, can speak, you demon, confess!"
A young man with long green hair popped out from under a table, grasping a great sword almost as tall as he was; the stance he took, without a doubt, is battle ready.
'When did I become an animal that can be caught in a trap?'
Lin Feng gripped the sword's handle with both hands, clutching it as if his life depended on it.
"I'm Akira, and my father is a demon Hunter. You scumbag demons killed him, so just wait until I wipe out or your fellow sinners. If you do not want to die, surrender and allow me to seal you." Akira let out in bloodthirsty tone.
Lin Feng heard all of this, and rage welled up inside him until he could no longer contain it, at which point he charged with the sword still in his hands, using the power of the fifth gate.
Weird, so strange, a zombie wielding a sword with such dexterity. What's more, this zombie has the ability to use clones.
Unlike the brainless ones, this one appears to be able to think rationally.
Is he the leader?
Akira furrowed his brow, the moment his father was killed and eaten by a powerful zombie replaying in his mind, and he was certain that he would avenge his father no matter what.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng, in a fit of rage, discovered that his adversary had no intention of attacking him, and instead he was staring at him with rage, his gaze filled with certainty that victory was his.
Lin Feng was perplexed, but then he heard the sound of fast-moving gears and his hair stood on end as he leaped backward.
The floor began to turn upside down as several spears pierced up from where he leaped.
'What on earth is this dude up to? yet another trap, was he planning to kill me before now?'
Lin Feng furrowed his brow at Akira, who was, of course, at the same stage of development as him.
