C10 Escape

Harieth Zarie Fedencio POV

Ryker left early because he still had a job. He said he would just come back tonight. It's funny because he's not mad at me. It felt good to know that he wasn’t mad at me.

I also left home early to return to work at Mayor Ariel's house. I told him about my older brother Kenie and I didn’t think my good feeling would be replaced by fear.

Fear gripped me at what I heard. I burst into tears. I can only imagine the scenario that will happen to my brother kenie when he is in front of the police, I am scared. I think of what can be done to beat my older brother. I couldn’t help but think bad things.

"M-mayor, what shall I do?"

"Zarie, you know that kenie can't hide. He will be charged guilty of hiding, and he will be wanted."

"I'm scared. My older brother's case against the woman he bought the land from has been dismissed."

"What's her name, Zarie? She's good at the law because she knows the detour."

"As far as I know, her name is Aniza Monterealez."

The Mayor's eyes widened, there was a look of shock on his face and when he recovered, he stuttered and spoke.

"Yes, that's what my older brother said."

My forehead furrowed. "W-why?"

“Monterealez is one of the richest families in the World, so it’s very impossible that you're saying about her because they have a lot of money and don’t have to cheat people and if that’s true, you’ll have a hard time colliding with them because her son is a Police General of the country. "

My eyes widened, I was swallowed up in the knowledge that we had collided to a big man. "I-I don't know."

He sighed. "You'd better call Ryker. I'm sure if you plead with Ryker your brother will be acquitted."

"A-are they close?"

His forehead furrowed. "Don't you know Zarie?"

"W-which one?"

"Ryker is the Police General here in the country." I was shocked by what the Mayor said, I was even more shocked and dumbfounded when he added something I wouldn't have expected. "And Zarie, Aniza Monterealez is Ryker Luis Monterealez mother."

I don’t know how I got out of the Mayor’s house. I just feel like I'm floating. Nothing enters my mind, as if all the contents of my brain have disappeared. I woke up in a daze when I arrived at the police camp.

I hid in a corner when I saw Ryker show up with a man I didn't know and a man who had talked to me before.

"I'll be back later, I just had a meeting at the president's palace."

"By the way, find that kenie, I can't miss the accusation he's making against my Mother. I'll make sure he rots in jail for life." Ryker.

"Yes! General."

I covered my mouth to keep from sobbing.

Mayor is wrong. Even if I plead with Ryker still nothing will happen. I could see the anger in his eyes.

My hands were shaking when I dialed my brother's cellphone number.

"B-brother, let's go now. I don't want to be here, brother, please."

"Zarie, what's going on?"

I cried and couldn't speak.

"Youngest, go ahead and pack, we're leaving. Don't cry, you know that I don't want to see or even hear you crying? I'm sorry, I'm sorry it's all my fault."

I shook my head at him and couldn't speak yet.

I can't take it anymore! I don't want to, I just want to leave this place.
