Harieth Zarie Fedencio POV

I don’t know how many hours I’ve been here in Ryker’s room. Huh? Am I here for a while? It seems like that the time is slow.

I stood up and opened the door. I even peeked to see if anyone was there. Seeing that there was nothing, I walked slowly until I saw the elevator we had used earlier.

It's going to be night.

I smiled and took a deep breath when I got out of their Mansion. Fortunately, we went straight before, if there were more twists and turns I might have gotten lost.

"Young Lady!"

I was shocked when someone noticed me. I ran fast, I knew it was far because if you had a car it was quite far, what else so when you ran.

"YOUNG LADY! COME BACK!"

When I remembered the baby in my womb, I was immediately held in my stomach. I slowed down.

My baby.

It was too late when I found out that a car was coming. I stopped and stiffened to where I was standing. All I can see is the light coming from the car headlight. My heartbeat quickened, and my breathing became heavier. My vision rolled and darkened as I slowly collapsed.

Before I lost consciousness. I even heard them shout. I also heard the car stop and its door open.

"Honey! She fainted, our car is far away, so you definitely didn't hit her. Carry her honey."

I just felt my body rise before I completely lost consciousness.

FEELING the cold thing on my face made me cringe. I opened my eyes and got up. I was stunned when a beautiful woman met my sight. Like her smiling lips, her small eyes also narrowed with a smile.

S-she's beautiful.

"Are you feeling well? You fainted earlier."

"I-I feel good."

"Why were you running earlier? And why were the maids and guards chasing you?"

I sneezed. "A-ah! W-what... I-I'm sorry." I removed the blanket covering me and stood up. "I-I just passed by your beautiful house, t-then the maids chased me b-because.. w-what... t-they thought I was a thief. I'm sorry." I bit my lip so hard because I'm lying.

I couldn’t wait for Ryker’s Mom to answer. I walked quickly to the elevator and when I reached their main door. I sighed when I opened the door, I was greeted by men with large bodies, they looked like bouncers in a bar.

I was shocked to see them. "Lady Zarie, I'm sorry, but you're not allowed to go out."

Huh?

Lady Zarie?

I was swallowed up by my own and unconscious to step back once more. I jumped a little at the person who spoke from behind me.

"Ryker wouldn't want to know that they let you escape, young lady."

I was staggered to my feet, my breathing heavy at his authoritative voice. His voice was deep and just very cold.

"Honey! Don't scare our daughter- in- law! Look, she's getting pale." Ryker's Mom held my hands.

I was even more stiff of my position and paled when I heard the word daughter- in- law.

"I'm sorry for him, darling. Just ignore him."

I swallowed and nodded. I am not comfortable with my situation.

"Come darling, I'll cook for you."

Ryker's Mom pulled me into the kitchen. She made me sit on a chair.

"Just stay there, ok? I'll cook for you."

"Ah! Ma'am, I'm sorry if I lied earlier."

"Call me, Mom." She smiled at me before gesturing with her hand as if she was whispering. "And the old man earlier, call him dad and apology accepted."

"I CAN HEAR YOU, HONEY!" Ryker's Mom frowned when her husband shouted.

"I'M NOT SAYING ANYTHING, HONEY! He really has a dog breed because his hearing is really strong."

Ryker's Mom turned to me, so I was embarrassed when she saw me smiling at their meanness.

"Welcome to the family, darling."

"W-what? What are y-"

"Aren't you Ryker's wife?"

My eyes widened, at the same time I shook my head. "N-no!"

She shrugged. "Weird, Ryker said his wife was here at the Mansion, so we got home here." Both my cheeks got hot. "Oh?! Well.... you and Ryker can just get married if you haven't already."

My jaw dropped at her and couldn’t answer her when she turned her back on me and started cooking. I stared at her back for a long time before I sneezed.

"Ahm? Do you know about my brother Kenie?"

I hesitate to question. Ryker's Mom looks kind. If I plead to her, will she listen to me? If she gets mad at me, that's better for me because she herself will drive me out of here.

"Kenie? On the land?"

"Y-yes,"

She approached me before holding both of my hands. "Yes! Ryker told me about that. And to be honest darling I really don't know anything about that land. Ryker has already investigated, and they found out that the person who is angry with our family used my name to cheat. Don't worry darling, Ryker will take care of that."

"I-if that's the case? Can Ryker release my brother kenie from jail? Because Ryker imprisoned him."

She thought about it and let go of my hands. "That boy is really stubborn darling, so I can't convince him. I also don't know why he did that when he knows it was all a mistake. If only you could beg him, darling?"

My shoulder dropped at the same time as I hoped. "B-but I've already talked to him, and he doesn't want to."

"I'm sure, Ryker will agree if you offer marriage."

My jaw dropped at what she said. She laughed out loud as she went back to what she was cooking.

A few minutes later, she finished cooking the spaghetti. I was appalled when he lowered the large plate containing spaghetti. It was still smoky, so I was hungry and swallowed one after another.

"Eat a lot." She happily said before to sit across from me.

I started putting spaghetti on my plate. I can smell its fragrant scent on my nose. The smell of spaghetti is delicious. I started eating and it was really delicious. On my second bite of a spoonful of spaghetti, I covered my mouth.

"Darling? Are you okay? You look pale."

I nodded at her and tried to swallow what was in my mouth.

I looked at Ryker's Mom with a worried face. Her mouth opens as if she wants to say something, but it just closes again.

On my third time, I dropped the spoon and ran to the sink. Ryker's Mom followed behind me, stroking my back. I cried as I continued to vomit, I was a little dizzy, but I was still able to stand up. When my vomiting was over, I gargled.

"Are you pregnant, darling?"

I stared at Ryker's Mother face, there was a trace of concern on her face. I covered my face and cried, but also quickly jumped in panic and looked up at the man's loud voice. The man my heart has been looking for. His voice covered all around.

"MOM! WHY ARE YOU MAKING HER CRY?!"
