C24 Accident

Harieth Zarie Fedencio POV

I opened my eyes. I rolled my eyes in pure white surroundings. Even with difficulty, I forced myself to sit down, then Ryker entered the door.

"Baby love!" He quickly came in front of me to help me sit up properly. "Don't move too much first, and you might get hurt."

"Where is our baby?"

He smiled at me, as if on cue, the door suddenly opened. The nurse came in, carrying the sleeping baby. I shed tears of joy. Despite all the hardships I had in giving birth to him, it all went away when I could see how well and in good condition my baby was.

"Mommy, this is your baby boy," I couldn't help but to cry when my child was placed in my arms. My baby woke up and smiled, so I gently kissed him on the forehead.

"T-thank y-you." My voice was hoarse as I thanked the nurse.

"I'll come back here later to pick up the baby again and take him back to his ward,"

When the nurse finally got out of the room, I just turned my gaze to Ryker who had been rubbing my back.

"Feeling better?"

I smiled at him before giving him a quick kiss.

"Damn! Baby love, don't seduce me."

I laughed at him. He was shaken and mess his hair.

Smiling, I turned to our son.

"Our son's handsome."

"Well! Who else will our son inherit? Of course, to me, his super-duper handsome Dad."

I sucked. Tsk. Arrogant!

"But I'm really worried, baby love."

I knotted my forehead. "Worried? Why?"

He laughed. "I thought you were going to name him Zest-O. I was nervous,"

I also laughed at him. "You're mean! Of course, I'll fix it."

"Yeah! I can't believe you're following him by my second name."

I turned my gaze to our son. "Because your name is cute, Ryker."

"Yeah! I like that too."

I kissed my baby forehead. "Zseto Luis Monterealez, do you like his name?"

"So much."

I look at him and smiled. "I love you, Ryker."

He quickly kissed me on the lips before Zseto hugged us. "I love you too, baby love, and I love you both."

Ryker Luis Monterealez POV

"Fucking hell! What are you saying, Arnold ?!" I was talking on the landline to Arnold. He told me about Amanda Sy, she escaped. That fucking bitch!

Amanda Sy, that’s the real name of the person who fooled Kenie into selling the land. The woman I've been looking for. The smallness of the world.

"General, the inmates' vehicle was ambushed on the way to Bilibid. They suspect that they were Amanda's colleagues, because she was the first person to be approached by unknown people, after taking Amanda, they didn't care about anyone else."

"Fuck! Make a report of it! That woman can't escape. Search all the places where they can hide."

"Call Anthony,"

Arnold was silent on the other line, so my eyebrows met.

"Damn you Arnold!"

"G-general, A-anthony was taken hostage, with him riding in the Van by unknown people to take Amanda."

"Fuck! Trace them, Arnold. Asap!"

Fortunately, Kenie is in the US because he has a seminar.

I picked up my cellphone to call my dear wife. It's been 5 months since she gave birth. I was really scared then because the child was said to have diarrhea inside Zarie's stomach, the good thing was that it happened. I am really thankful because they are both safe.

I dialed my wife's number. At first, she didn't answer, so I was even more annoyed. I really don’t like it when she doesn’t answer my calls. Annoying!

I breathed a sigh of relief when she answered it in the second ring.

"Fuck baby love! Why aren't you answering my call, again?"

"Sorry baby love, I'm just busy." I was devastated when she called me baby love.

Fucking hell! I calmed down, but the one below hardened.

I frowned when I heard other voices, they were many. Why the noise?

"Baby love, where are you? What is the noise there?"

"Ow! I'm at the grocery store, with Yaya Celia and Zseto."

I gasped. Even when I told her not to move around the house, she still wouldn't obey me. She said she prefers to act at home.

"Ryker.... please?" I smiled and was shaken by the tone of her voice. I laughed even more when I imagined the look on her snout.

I got up from sitting in the swivel chair. I reached for the jacket on the side, unexpectedly turning around I collided with the edge of the table. A picture frame has crashed. Nervous gripped me, shaking my hand that picked up the upside down picture frame. When I lifted it, the crystals shattered. I swallowed before slowly facing the photo. My body softened when I saw the picture of my wife and me there. Picture of our wedding.

N-no, it's not superstition, is it? It was just an accident. I don't want anything bad to happen to my wife.

I hurried out of the headquarters office.

My walks are fast, even when someone greets me and wants to talk to me, I don’t pay attention. I'll go straight out. Faster and faster, like how my heart keeps beating faster.
