“How is Lisa holding up?” Jace asked, finally breaking the silence between us. He had his back to me as he rummaged through his closet probably looking for a short to wear to bed.

“She is struggling so badly, it hurts to see her this way” I answered putting aside my pride, it was of no use bearing any grudges when he only meant well.
