"good morning mademoiselle" Martians said immediately Jina entered

"looks like you Re early today" Martins said and Jina nodded her head

"I never wanted to meet up with the traffic and you why see you here this early" Jina asked

"I had to work overtime"

"c'mon, I can see its heavt on you" Martins as he took the bag from her

"it's notin,so tell me about yourself" Martins said as the walked down the hall

" there is nothing about me"

"there should be" Martins said as he stared at her

"what do you really want to know about me" Jina asked

"where you are from, relationship status, what you like and dislike"

"I'm Jina as l told you yesterday, from Canada"

"wait, did you just say Canada?"

"yeah"

"And what are you doing here"

"I came here to stay with my mum, I have been in Canada all my life so I needed a change of environment"

"ohh"

"and when did you come to Nigeria"

"last year"

"I bet you don't know Lagos too well"

"I do but not that much"

"mind if I take you round lagos on day?" Martins asked

"I won't mind"Jina said as they stood in front of her office

" it's nice knowing you"Martains said as he handed her bag to her

"thank you and it was nice talking with you even if I never got to know you"

"there is always a next time, see you tomorrow" Martins said

"are you not going to work today?" Jina asked

"my work here is done,bye" Martins said and left

"Jina" Amaka said as she entered her office. Jina has told her to stop knocking anytime she wants to come in

"Hi Amaka"

"was waiting for you but when you did not show up I decided to check here. Looks like you came in early today" Jina said

"Yes I did, never wanted to be caught up by the traffic"

"so did you get anyrhing for me?" Amaka asked

"I did not"

"Ohhh"Amaka said with sadness on her voice

" of course I did"Jina said as she handed a box of pizza she ordered to Amaka

"thank you" Amaka said as she took the pizza from her

"your welcome"

"have you eaten" Amaka asked and jina nodded negatively

"we should eat this together then" Amaka said and they both started eating

"it's not even up to a week and we are acting like we have known each other for a long time" Jina said with a smile as she stared at Amaka who was busy enjoying her meal

"what is Martins work here"Jina asked as they sat to eat

" nobody know jina, some said he's the director's brother and some said he's the owner of this place. He comes when he feels like, although we are friends but I don't know what he's work here is and as you know, this company is way to big to start monitoring someone"

"I met him today and he said he worked over time and he will be back tomorrow"

"did he tell you anything else?"

"nope, he just asked me about my self and when I said I don't know him, he told he that there is always a next time"

"he's secretive and I dont know why"

"let's eat up before our meal gets cold"

When Jina got home she quickly dropped her bag and became busy with her computer

"what are you here"

"ohh mum, you are awake"

"you did not even come to tell me you are back"

"I came to your room but you were fast asleep"

"I've you eaten?" Mrs Roseline asked

"no mum, this is more important than food"

"and what are you doing"

"wants to check if my predictions were right"

"alright, do that and come and eat your food" Her mother said as she went downstairs

After fighting with her keyboard for minutes, she could not find answers to her questions

"why is the owner of the company's identity hidden, is he really the owner?" Jina said as she stared frustrated at the computer

"jina, come and eat cos your food will get cold" Her mother said

"I'm almost done" Jina said as she stared at her computer screen for the last time

"what did you make" Jina asked as she came down

"it's this eguse?" Jina asked

"how many times will I have to correct you, its Egusi" Her mum said as she almost burst into laugher

"it's still the same thing" Jina defened

"dont speak like this unless If you want to be laughed at" Her mother said

"got I call from your dad and he said he will be spending the Christmas with us"

"are we spending our Christmas here?" Jina asked and her mum nodded

"I won't get to see the snow"

"you have been seeing the snow for 24 years, are you not bored?"

"nah"

"I won't be surprised to know so tell me the reason you were fighting with your computer"

"about that, it's nothing. Was looking up for someone"

"alright eat up before your food gets cold"
