C1 The very beginning

Jessica, I believe you said i was coming to your husband's house. It seems you made a mistake and sent me your parent's instead. Please direct me on how to get to your new home. I want to see that palace for myself

My name is Jessica and the nosy person on the phone is my friend Vivian. This is her first time coming to see me since I got married.

She had left the country for four years and just returned. We were disconnected for a while, while she was away in another country.

Now that she is back, she can't wait to get into my business and be nosy about it. I actually didn't send her the wrong address, I wish I did anyway, just to punish her. She just didn't look closely enough.

I lived with my parent at 15A, Blue Crescent Pathway, but now live with my husband in 15B, Blue Crescent Pathway. I am sure you are as nosy as Vivian, let me fill you in on how it all happened.

I am used to leaving the house very early in the morning, 5am, because of my job and my annoying boss. I work six times a week, from Monday to Saturday. You would think I should have early evenings to myself, but the reverse is the case. I get back late at night, 10pm or later.

I have my morning routines before heading to work. I check on my land before heading out to the bus stop.

One morning on my way to work as usual, I take a quick look at my land. It was under construction.

This particular land is right beside my parent house, divided by just a fence. I can't say I am surprised because it would be an understatement. I have eyed that land for so long, I haven't paid for it, but now someone had beat me to it. That land is supposed to be mine.

I have drawn plans of what would be constructed. I have even put a lot of effort into getting the money completed.

Who has the guts to buy my own land?

Apart from my strenuous job, I love to cook and hoped to buy a land which I could build my own kitchen on. It is supposed to be an online kitchen where I can show the world my culinary skills. Orders can also be made online. There would be more than enough space to do other things in the future.

Why that particular land right?

It is a quiet environment and it is located at the heart of the town. If not there, where else?
