C5 Dragon Boat
Who was Ninth Elder?
The same question had been asked fifteen years ago, in February.
It was a clear, rainy day. The wind was clear and the sunset was shining. The mountain lord at the time of Faangcun Mount asked this question and then silently died on the highest chair in the Heartbreak Palace. From then on, Faangcun Mount was replaced by a mountain lord and there was an additional Ninth Elder.
That year, Skinned Taoist carried only three rolls of human skin on his back; that year, Eldest Senior Brother had never been more lonely than the river; that year, Huang Loongren had not ridden a sword, dragging an ox cart in the snow to sell charcoal; that year, Wine Seller was still just a Sun, filled with the words of the Xiande Mountains.
That year, the Fuchi Abyss had shattered, and a hole had been torn open between the Demon World and the mortal world. Fourth Brother had annihilated the third battalion, and his Green Dragon Camp had turned into a raging wave.
The three million kilometers of Tang Dynasty that year was filled with schemes, blood, schemes, betrayals, and lies.
In the following fifteen years, Ninth Elder's name was known to everyone — because he had only used fifteen years to become the cow-wielder of the Dragon Prefecture's Blood Cultivator with unranked Faangcun Mount, a first class sect in the world.
This kind of person could be called mysterious, but not terrifying. What made the Ninth Elder scared was something else.
Fifteen years ago, when the Ninth Elder established the Black Hell, it was said that the most inhumane of the one hundred and eight types of torture was done by the Ninth Elder.
Eating people was a common word, but only when you truly understood the meaning of those two words would you feel a chill run down your spine.
If it wasn't for the Ninth Elder's reputation, the Shenji Pavilion would have sent people over to investigate.
Tang Weiji did not want to eat people, nor did he want to be eaten by others. However, he had now fallen into the hands of Faangcun Mount, or more accurately, it was the person that Ninth Elder personally requested. If that rumor was true, then he would be eaten even if he did not want to. As for which one to cook, it was not something Tang Weiji could decide.
As expected, his destination was Black Hell, which had a total of three levels. Tang Weiji didn't think that he would be thrown into the third level of Black Hell.
There were only three cells on the third floor. One of them was wrapped by the magma from underground, and the other was a block of ice that never melted. Tang Weiji was thrown into the innermost cell.
Inside the cell was a bed, a table, and two stone stools. There was a pot of tea on the table, with steam rising from the spout. A person was sitting on the stone bench, looking at him with interest.
Tang Weiji took a deep breath and bowed before the door closed behind him. "Greetings Patriarch Nine."
That person had a long beard, a clear face, and a pair of eyes that were as green as ghostfire. Originally, he was expressionless, but after hearing Tang Weiji's words, he smiled and said, "I am not Patriarch Nine." "You think you have the right to meet Ninth Elder?"
Tang Weiji raised his head and looked at him. After a while, he smirked, walked to the stone bench and sat down, poured himself a cup of tea, and tasted it carefully. After the tea had melted in his mouth, he sighed in satisfaction, "Good tea! Who are you? You invited me here all this time just to buy me a cup of tea? "
"You're sitting in my cell, drinking my tea, and asking who I am?"
Tang Weiji was stunned. He had countless of guesses in his mind, but no matter what, he didn't dare think that way, "You're a prisoner?"
"My name is Dragon Boat."
That person said lightly. Tang Weiji instantly sucked in a breath of cold air and was so shocked that his hair stood up straight. He could not help but stand up and take two steps back with a "deng deng deng" sound.
"The former Prefecture Lord of the Dragon Prefecture?" Tang Weiji looked at him in disbelief, looked at the pair of light green eyes, and thought to himself, Yes, it was indeed him, "Didn't I say that you went swimming away, why are you at Faangcun Mount?"
"Wandering?" Long Zhou smiled, unable to conceal the ridicule within, "Is that what they said."
Tang Weiji suddenly went silent.
The dragon boat glanced at him and chuckled softly. "That's right. Since you've already seen me, it means that you won't be able to live. Do you feel good about waiting for your death?"
He blew on the tea and took a sip. "But I'm more curious about you, and who are you to be locked up with me?"
Tang Weiji thought to himself, what is this Ninth Elder trying to do? I, a mere little killer of Nourishing Qi Stage, am not qualified to be locked up with this Dragon State Palace's number one character, the Lord Prefect of the peak Three Elements Stage.
He hesitated for a moment, but didn't tell Dragon Boat his identity. He only said a name, "My name is Tang Weiji."
However, Long Zhou was stunned. Looking at his expression, he suddenly became absent-minded, "You are Tang Weiji? The one on the pillow? "
Tang Weiji was also stunned. He looked at the dragon boat and thought too much in that instant.
How did he know he was a man with a pillow?
There were a lot of people who knew about him, but only Uncle Mao knew that Tang Weiji was one of them.
Tang Weiji was confident that his identity could not be remembered by someone as powerful as Long Zhou, so how did he know that he was someone close to the grave?
If he remembered correctly, the change of Palace Chief in the Dragon Prefecture was already a matter of ten years ago. In other words, ten years ago, the Dragon Boat had already been locked in Faangcun Mount? But the Black Hell was only established two years ago, so why hasn't any news about the Dragon Boat spread during these past eight years? What was even more terrifying was that the dragon boat had disappeared for ten years. Patriarch Nine would definitely not let anyone know that he was in Faangcun Mount, which also meant that the dragon boat was not connected to the outside world.
Ten years … Ten years ago, he was only eight, right?
When did the name of the man next to the pillow come out? Thinking about that, Tang Weiji suddenly became silent. He looked at the dragon boat with a complicated look in his eyes.
The dragon boat was also looking at him. That gaze made Tang Weiji shudder.
After a while, he lowered his head and looked at the cooling tea. He gently shook the cup, drank the bitter drink in one gulp and closed his eyes, not saying another word.
Tang Weiji sat in the corner. After waiting for a short while, there was a commotion outside.
Tang Weiji had thought about how the Ninth Elder looked like countless times, but he was definitely not going to look like this standing in front of him. He asked in disbelief, "You are …" Ninth Elder? "
The dragon boat looked at them with ridicule and said lazily, "If he isn't Ninth Elder, then who is?"
The person in front raised his head as if he was in a good mood. He looked at Tang Weiji with a smile and said, "Yes, I am Patriarch Nine."
Tang Weiji lowered his eyelids, but no matter what, his rapidly beating heart revealed the uneasiness in his heart.
In front of him was a three-year-old doll with a bun and a red apron with the design of a mandarin duck playing with water. Its chubby face was pink and tender, as if it could squeeze water out of it.
No matter what, Tang Weiji could not relate this three-year-old child in front of him to the legendary Ninth Elder who changed the entire Faangcun Mount's future by himself fifteen years ago.
No matter what Tang Weiji thought, the one standing in front of him was the legendary Ninth Elder.
Patriarch Nine walked around Tang Weiji twice with eyes as deep as the sea. He first chuckled twice, but then seemed to have thought of something and nodded with satisfaction.
Tang Weiji stood there nervously. He didn't even know where to put his hands. Patriarch Nine's gaze was like a hammer piercing into his body.
Long Zhou was drinking tea, but his attention was still on the tea. He wanted to see why this devil had brought Tang Weiji here. If what he thought was true, Patriarch Nine would probably be disappointed.
Patriarch Nine walked behind Tang Weiji and suddenly stretched out his hand. His five fingers formed a claw and grabbed towards the back of Tang Weiji's spine.
The eyes of the dragon boat lit up as it thought to itself: As expected!
Tang Weiji's strength was like an ant in the eyes of such an existence. He didn't even have time to react before his spine was grabbed. He let out a grunt and only felt that his spine was instantly broken. The pain was unbearable.
It was not over yet. Immediately after, a huge suction force came from the place where Tang Weiji touched Patriarch Nine's palm. Tang Weiji only felt the blood in his body gushing towards that direction.
In just two short breaths, when Patriarch Nine released his hand, Tang Weiji's face had already turned pale and he fell on the ground, gasping heavily.
Patriarch Nine was holding an egg-sized, blood-red pearl in his right palm. The pearl was shining brightly, and in the middle, there seemed to be a snake-headed turtle's black tortoise roaring silently.
Little Fire who had been hiding in his hair since coming to Black Hell came out from behind Tang Weiji's head, baring his fangs and brandishing his claws at Ninth Elder, but was caught by Ninth Elder with a single palm, and laughed twice: "It's actually the true spirit of fire, you sure are lucky."
With a flip of his left palm, the Little Fire was kept in his sleeve, "In any case, you don't need it anymore, so why don't you give me a good lesson? In the future, you might be able to add a Shoushan's truesoul to my Faangcun Mount."
Tang Weiji looked at him with hatred, but he didn't even have the strength to push himself up.
The Little Fire's importance to him was almost the same as Uncle Mao's. According to Uncle Mao, the spirit creature that followed by his side had a natural endowment, and the Nirvana Fire that Qiu Tian lured out had been eaten secretly by the Little Fire. This was also the reason why Qiu Tian didn't rest in peace.
He did not know what the Little Fire was, but whether it was in terms of feelings or rank, the Little Fire was something he could not lose.
But what could he do now? Without the strength to even stand up, what could he do?
Tang Weiji finally had a trace of despair in his heart.
He thought about the reason why that person sent him into the Black Hell, and why did not the slightest bit of information or hints reach him? Was he really going to die?
Before leaving, Ninth Elder looked at Tang Weiji meaningfully, then walked out of the cell with the lump of Black Tortoise True Blood in her hand.
In the dead silence, there was only Tang Weiji's heavy breathing.
"He'll come looking for you again."
He sounded like he was talking to Tang Weiji, but at the same time, he seemed to be confirming what he had just said. He emphasized, "He will definitely come looking for you again."
