“Clang—”

As Tiange swung her sword back up, Su Hu’s wooden sword clattered to the ground.

“What happened?” Tiange asked, sure that Su Hu’s mistake wasn’t due to the Kunwu Sword Manual he was practicing.

Su Hu, using the opportunity to retrieve his sword, positioned himself in front of Tiange. “You know, the way Instructor Rong looks at you doesn’t seem like he likes me... Want to test it out?”

Tiange raised an eyebrow. “How do we test it?”

“Who do you think he’d save first if we were both in danger?” Su Hu grinned mischievously, and Tiange suddenly had a bad feeling.

I was just joking, but you took it seriously...

Rong Qi swore he only nodded off for a moment and lost sight of them!

Regarding Su Hu and Tiange’s sudden disappearance from the platform, Feng Xuan shrugged. “Probably went to the back hills.”

The back hills?

“These new students are wandering the back hills without any supervision. Aren’t you worried they’ll get snatched by wolves?” Rong Qi wiped sweat from his brow, feeling like he wasn’t doing a great job as a chess instructor.

Compared to Feng Xuan, Rong Qi realized he was being too hard on himself...

Just as Rong Qi suspected, Su Hu hadn’t anticipated so many wolves in the back hills training ground. During the exam, there were only a few in small packs.

Now surrounded by dozens of wolves, Tiange had only one thing to say to Su Hu, “If you have a death wish, why drag me into it?”

What’s even more disheartening is that they’re holding wooden swords. It feels like we’re about to fight a pack of wolves barehanded!

"Let's focus on something useful. How about you distract these little darlings while I go get help?" Su Hu suggested, feeling a bit shaky as more wolves gathered around.

Ignoring Su Hu, Tiange suddenly leaped forward, her wooden sword slicing through the air like lightning!

The moment the first wolf hit the ground, the dozen or so wolves in front suddenly attacked. Instinctively, Su Hu retreated behind Tiange, swinging his wooden sword back-to-back with her.

The wolves' howls echoed around them. Despite wielding a wooden sword, Tiange's weapon was infused with a powerful energy, making it deadly. Any wolf struck by it was either killed or severely injured.

Suddenly, two of the wolves crouched low, aiming their claws at Tiange's abdomen, while a third leaped at her. Unable to dodge, Tiange swung her sword forcefully at the two crouching wolves, exposing the back of her neck to the third wolf’s claws!

"Watch out!" Su Hu shouted in fear, pulling Tiange back just as a flash of cold steel appeared.

Two figures suddenly emerged, shouting, "Catch the sword!" As Gu Ruochen tossed a cold steel sword to Tiange, Jun Wushang threw a sharp blade to Su Hu.

Four people stood together, swords slicing through the air with such force that blood splattered everywhere. By the time Rong Qi arrived, the four were immobilized by Gongsun Pei outside the Sword Holding Small Building, covered in blood. After consulting with Feng Xuan, he took Gu Ruochen and Jun Wushang away. Rong Qi then returned to take Feng Tiange. This left Su Hu in quite a predicament.

At the Drunken Immortal Tower, Feng Tiange was puzzled by one thing: how could Gongsun Pei, standing outside the training grounds, make swords inside move with such speed and precision? Flying swords. When Rong Qi mentioned those two words, Feng Tiange was utterly shocked and amazed. Could someone truly master the art of flying swords?

"It's not that hard to understand if your inner strength is deep enough," Rong Qi said, having witnessed it several times and grown accustomed to it.

"How deep is deep enough?" Feng Tiange suddenly imagined herself in front of an army, merely waving her sleeve, and the Wind Slash Sword taking the head of an enemy general from a hundred yards away. "Crushing stones to dust?"

"I've seen that old man use his inner strength to make a river flow backward," Rong Qi added, worried about discouraging Feng Tiange, "but only for a moment."

Feng Tiange was stunned, realizing her current abilities were nowhere near that god-like level.

"I came to the Martial Academy to tell you something," Rong Qi said, allowing Feng Tiange a moment to collect herself before getting to the main point.

He couldn't tell if Tiange was listening or not, so he continued, "Beiming Yuan plans to send the Wind Slash Sword to the Great Buddha Temple for purification in three days, claiming it's too dangerous. After that, they intend to melt it down..."

Tiange's eyes flashed, finally showing a reaction. "Bastard."

"Definitely not a decent person," Rong Qi knew who Tiange was cursing and hoped she wouldn't direct that look at him.

The Wind Slash Sword ranks sixth on the weapon list, just below the 'Broken Shadow.' When she was fifteen, her father died in battle, and the sword was brought back with his body to the family estate. From that moment, she became the sword's new master, spending years fighting fiercely, never parting from it.

And now, Beiming Yuan can't even tolerate a sword!

"Uh, I guess... Beiming Yuan wants to melt the Wind Slash Sword now because he thinks Bai Yushuang has a special attachment to it. There's definitely something suspicious going on."

Tiange looked up at Rong Qi for a while, then said with some satisfaction, "Congratulations, Prince, for finally growing a brain at your age."

Was that a compliment?

Rong Qi didn't feel happy at all.

"I can't stand Bai Yushuang, so I hope you can handle this," Rong Qi knew that if he saw Bai Yushuang again, he'd be knocked down before he could even say a word.

"I can only say I'll do my best." After witnessing Bai Yushuang's reckless behavior firsthand, Tiange realized she couldn't stop Bai Yushuang from running headlong into danger.

Rong Qi nodded, "Doing your best is enough."

Just as Rong Qi was about to leave, he remembered something, "Why did Su Hu take you to the trial grounds?"

If Rong Qi hadn't brought it up, Tiange would have almost forgotten about him. "Gongsun Pei won't do anything to him, right?"

"That's hard to say. Those wolves are Gongsun Pei's, and you can figure out how many you all took down..." Rong Qi shivered as if recalling a bad memory. "But don't worry, that old man knows his limits."

He doesn't like killing people; he just enjoys watching them on the brink of death...

At that moment, a commotion erupted on the street, drawing the attention of both Rong Qi and Tiange.

Sometimes, what you seek is right under your nose.

Xie Ruxuan didn't expect to run into Qin Luoyi here, and a vein throbbed on her forehead, ready to burst.

"Don't you dare harm our lady!" After being kicked to the ground by Xie Ruxuan, Ruoyi struggled to get up and shielded her lady.

"Get out of my way!" Xie Ruxuan, seeing red, swung a punch, causing Ruoyi to cough up blood.

"Don't push it too far, Ruxuan!"

As soon as Luoyi finished speaking, Ruxuan grabbed her by the collar and landed a solid punch on her left cheek. "Too far? I can go even further!"

Just as Ruxuan was about to throw another punch, Luoyi sneered, "Don't forget what happened last time you got cocky."

"You!" Ruxuan hadn't forgotten. Her father hadn't spoken to her for days. "If you weren't the granddaughter of the Marquis, I'd beat you to a pulp!"

"Sorry to disappoint you," Luoyi said, lifting her chin and lowering her voice so only Ruxuan could hear.

Ruxuan was furious. "Luoyi! So what if you're the Marquis's granddaughter? You're still just a piece of trash nobody wants! Everyone in the capital knows the Commander called off your engagement!"
