C96 A Woman with an Astonishing will

The two of them walked out of the Wenn Mansion one after the other, when suddenly a man rushed toward them.

It was Wei Xun, a captain from the Dragon Soul Camp under the Martial Peace Marquis, and the father of Wei Zhanpeng.

"Stop right there," Wei Xun, dressed in a brown robe, blocked Feng Tiange's path, his square, dark face full of anger. "Are you Feng Tiange?"

Wei Xun had been at the Martial Academy's entrance exam that day, so he recognized the person he was looking for.

Feng Tiange halted, giving Wei Xun a cold stare.

"Did you injure my son?" Wei Xun's anger flared even more at the mention of his son, and he gritted his teeth.

Feng Tiange remained silent.

"Your silence means you admit it!" Wei Xun grew more furious and reached out to grab Feng Tiange. "The sparring match was supposed to stop at a certain point, yet you broke my son's arms and legs. As a captain, I must demand an explanation for my son today!"

Just as Wei Xun's hand was about to touch the hem of Feng Tiange's clothes, there was a flash.

Feng Tiange was gone!

By the time Wei Xun realized and turned around, Feng Tiange had already been standing behind him for several seconds.

"I did injure Wei Zhanpeng for two reasons: he bullied the weak at the academy, which is unjust, and he conspired with his team to slander and attack their leader, which is dishonorable. For someone so unjust and dishonorable, he deserved what he got, and even worse."

"You!"

"Captain Wei, you've been on the battlefield. You know that killing your own or defying superiors is a capital offense," Feng Tiange said coldly.

"The Martial Academy isn't a battlefield!"

"That's why I didn't kill him."

Wei Xun, seething with anger, was about to step forward again when Rong Qi kindly leaned in and whispered a few words in his ear. Instantly, Wei Xun froze.

Ignoring Wei Xun, Feng Tiange turned and headed toward the carriage waiting outside the Imperial Academy. Rong Qi followed, and the carriage rolled away.

After Wei Xun swallowed his rage and left, a figure emerged from the shadows. Gu Yunyi, having just left the palace, had intended to wander around but stumbled upon this intriguing scene.

He had heard about a rising star in the capital before his return. Today, seeing Feng Tiange in action, her reputation was well-deserved. Judging by her skills, earning the top spot at the Martial Academy was no fluke. Unfortunately, women who shine too brightly often meet a tragic end, even those with unmatched power like Dugu Yan couldn't escape their fate...

Inside the carriage, Rong Qi sat quietly, his posture as straight as a pine tree. His long, jet-black hair fell gracefully over his chest. At this moment, his captivating eyes seemed to shimmer with a mysterious allure, and his animated expression practically screamed four words on a loop: "Ask me! Ask me! Ask me..."

It wasn't hard to guess; he had merely mentioned two people to Wei Xun.

One is Gongsun Pei, and the other is the Empress Dowager. Feng Tiange was sure that Wei Xun had also thought of two names before coming: one was Feng Xuan, and the other was Feng Qing. He felt confident he could handle the latter two, but the first two, whom he had overlooked, were beyond his reach and not to be trifled with.

"I'm heading to the military camp. Aren't you getting off the carriage, Prince Rong?" Feng Tiange asked, teasingly.

Rong Qi's enthusiasm was thoroughly dampened. "No, I'm not. I'm also heading to the military camp," he replied, looking quite dejected.

So, Feng Tiange, who had initially planned to change clothes at the Tianyi Pavilion, had to drag along an unwanted companion straight to the Fish Market. Although the Fish Market wasn't as bustling as the Nether Market, it still attracted a fair crowd. The streets were lively with the sounds of vendors calling out their wares, making the market quite vibrant.

Feng Tiange didn't have anything pressing to do, so wandering around the Fish Market as an outsider was fine. The only thing that bothered her was Rong Qi tagging along. Seeing Feng Tiange, with her youthful face, sighing like an old woman, Rong Qi felt secretly pleased. Serves you right for not asking!

Just then, a commotion erupted ahead. Feng Tiange looked up to see a crowd gathered in front of Meixi Workshop. In the center, Yaoyue and Meiniang stood facing each other, creating a rather intriguing scene.

One looked like a fairy, the other like a demon.

Feng Tiange finally squeezed through the crowd, asking around to find out that several groups from Yuexi Workshop had been sent to Meixi Workshop to cause trouble, only to be beaten back by Meiniang. In the end, it even caught the attention of Lyi Xiaotian and Yaoyue.

Originally, Lyi Xiaotian wanted to fight Yaoyue, but Meiniang stopped him.

Feng Tiange had never seen Yaoyue in action, but she knew Meiniang's skills and her sharp mind. If Meiniang didn’t let Lyi Xiaotian step in when he should have, there was only one reason: Lyi Xiaotian probably wasn’t a match.

“They say the manager of Meixi Workshop is beautiful, but she's nothing special,” Yaoyue said, his face starkly contrasting in the sunlight, making it eerily hard to look at.

“It’s just a shell. I’ve never been proud of it. As long as it’s passable,” Meiniang replied, wrapping a white silk around her arm, her red lips curling up, eyes full of allure.

Yaoyue despised women, especially the beautiful ones. First, there was Dugu Yan, and now he really didn’t like this woman in front of him!

“You’ve injured so many of my Azure Jade Sect brothers. What do you plan to do about it?” Yaoyue’s voice was soft and eerie. If you didn’t see his face, his figure was quite striking.

Meiniang’s smile was like a blooming flower, yet a chilling and astonishing killing intent rose around her. “What’s done is done. What else is there to do?”

"What bold words!" Yaoyue suddenly stepped forward, the stone beneath her feet cracking with a sharp snap. The debris scattered, causing the crowd in front to retreat in a panic. This left Feng Tiange standing at the forefront.

What moved Rong Qi was that Feng Tiange, upon realizing he was nearby, shielded him behind her. "Don't worry, I can still take care of myself," Rong Qi reassured, trying to ease her concern.

Feng Tiange turned her head, her expression indifferent. "How are you any different now than before?" To her, Rong Qi seemed even less capable than he once was.

In the blink of an eye, Meiniang and Yaoyue were locked in combat. It was a true clash of titans, each move fraught with danger. From the sidelines, Feng Tiange could see that Meiniang was holding back. If she unleashed her full strength, Yaoyue wouldn't stand a chance.

At that moment, Yaoyue seized an opportunity, her fists striking like thunder. Meiniang stood calmly, her eyes growing cold. Suddenly, as the force of the punch neared, Meiniang's left hand turned into a blade, slicing towards Yaoyue's left shoulder with precision.

"Ugh..." Yaoyue winced in pain, unable to dodge in time. Meiniang, a seasoned veteran, knew when to hold back. In such a setting, pushing things too far would only make it harder to resolve. "Master Yaoyue, I concede," she said, knowing when to end the confrontation gracefully.

Yaoyue wasn't sure how much force Meiniang used in that strike, but he knew she held back. Otherwise, he'd definitely be on his knees.

"Let's just forget about today," Yaoyue said, swallowing hard against the metallic taste in his throat, forcing down the blood. "But let me give you a piece of advice: you should close down your shop sooner rather than later, or else..."

"That's none of your concern," Meiniang replied, stepping back slightly and bowing respectfully to Lyi Xiaotian beside her. "Whether the shop stays open or not, I only listen to Master Lyi."

Her actions earned Feng Tiange's approval.

After suffering both physically and emotionally, Yaoyue was in no mood for help. When a young attendant from the Azure Jade Sect came over to assist him, he swatted him away with a sharp "Get lost!"

Feng Tiange's attention was on Meiniang, so she didn't notice Yaoyue's outburst towards his own people. But Rong Qi did...
