The moment Mrs Zhao opened her mouth, she attracted everyone's attention.
"What are you all looking at me for? Did I say something wrong?" Mrs Zhao's eyes flashed.
"Uncle, I wonder what happened?" How could Ji Ruchang not sense the hidden meaning in Mrs Zhao's words?
Ning Xiuwen, who was sitting beside Mrs Zhao, pulled her sleeve, "Say less!"
"Hey, I gave her permission to do so, but she didn't let me say anything!" Mrs Zhao took away her sleeves from Ning Xiuwen and said angrily.
"Oh?" Ji Ruchang was deep in thought as he rubbed his chin.
Ning Gaolang glanced at Mrs Zhao. This Third Sister-in-Law's mouth was too small. However, he couldn't teach her a lesson, so he said to his Third Sister-in-Law, "Third Brother, Xiaoye is no longer young. You should discipline her properly. Words always lose!"
The three Ning Family Brothers had all read a few books, thus, when Ning Xiuwen heard Ning Gaolang's words, his face flushed red.
"Yes, big brother, I will teach her a good lesson!"
Mrs Zhao didn't understand what the two of them were talking about, but when it came to her daughter, Mrs Zhao was unwilling to do so. How could her heart allow others to slander her?
"Eldest Brother, aren't your words a bit too biased? Xiaoye is only a young girl, so she needs to be taught what she has done wrong. However, this little girl has a mother, and doesn't have a father to raise."
As soon as he finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room suddenly became silent.
Ning Silian clenched her fists, her eyes bloodshot. "Try me again if you say another word!"
Although she didn't know why the original owner's father had disappeared, she still wouldn't allow anyone to slander them in the slightest.
"Oh? That stinking girl even increased her ability and dared to yell at me!" Mrs Zhao was not scared either. She stood up, slammed the table and pointed at Ning Silian.
"Get out!" Ning Silian pointed at the door. She didn't want to have any sort of falling out with her, but she also couldn't allow others to bully her either.
"You — —" Mrs Zhao was forced out of her house by a junior, and immediately shouted: "There is indeed a mother, and without Father's teachings, you are the only one who would shamelessly do such a thing. You even want to climb onto the Village Head's bed, and look at yourself in the mirror without even looking at yourself!"
"Scram!" Ning Silian growled. She had tried her best to suppress them so that she wouldn't hit Mrs Zhao.
"Hmph, do you think I'm willing to come to your house? Dirty!" Then, he spat and glanced at Ning Xiuwen, who was still sitting on the chair, "What are you still sitting for?"
Ning Xiuwen raised his head to look at Ning Gaolang, then turned to Ning Silian and said, "Silian, your aunt didn't do it on purpose. That's her character, don't …"
Before he could finish, he was dragged out of the room by Mrs Zhao.
This could be said to be the end of it.
"Sister-in-law, why did you leave so quickly?" Madam Qi was in the yard with a few children helping Ning Silian hoe some weeds while sowing some seeds.
Mrs Zhao snorted coldly. Seeing the dish in Ning Xiaoye's hand, she slapped it away. "Why are you still helping this ingrate? Go home!"
"Ai, sister-in-law!" Seeing Mrs Zhao angrily leaving the room, Madam Qi turned to the remaining children and said, "Yuan Er, Xiaohua, you and Ning Huai plant it first. I'll go in and take a look!"
"Yes, Mother!" Ning Xiaohua and Ning Yuan replied.
Madam Qi entered the room and closed the door behind her. When she saw Ning Silian's flushed face, her man also had a grave expression on his face and knew that something had happened.
"What's going on? Why did Third Brother and Third Sister-in-Law leave in such a huff? " Madam Qi stood beside Ning Gaolang and held Ning Silian's hand.
The two of them did not speak, causing Madam Qi to feel awkward. She smiled and said, "Silian, if you have anything to say, let's have a good talk. We're family, let's calm down and sit down!"
As he spoke, he pushed Ning Silian beside Ji Ruchang and sat down.
Ji Ruchang turned his head slightly and saw her puffed up face. It seemed like she was really angry.
