C22 Sprinkling
After dinner, Ning Silian cleaned up the dishes and gave Ji Ruchang a pot of hot water.
"This is for you!" Ji Ruchang took out the jade pendant and handed it to Ning Silian, "Take some time to go to Gulo City and treat this as it!"
"But?" Ning Silian's hand that was filled with water paused slightly. This was evidence that he used to confuse the main house and the third house. If they were to treat it as it, they would suspect something again.
Seeing her expression, Ji Ruchang split the jade pendant into two.
"Ah, why did you shatter it!" Ning Silian cried out in alarm. When she looked carefully, she discovered that this jade pendant was shaped like a pair of fish hoops. It could be split into two and combined into one.
"I'll keep half of it and pawn the other half." Ji Ruchang handed the two pendants over to her. Seeing that she still had something to say, he stared at her face and said: "Didn't you say yesterday that you would help me redeem it? "What, are you afraid you won't be able to redeem it?"
Knowing that he was trying to goad her into doing so, Ning Silian obviously wouldn't admit that she couldn't redeem him. She didn't believe that a young woman of the twenty-first century wouldn't be able to survive in this backward age. However, reality proved that she didn't have the ability to open the golden finger, so she could only take things one step at a time.
"Then rest well, I'll find a chance to take it." Ning Silian carefully put the two pendants away.
"After lying down for a long time, help me into the courtyard!" Ji Ruchang said as he looked at her fair face.
"Fine, wait for me a moment." Ning Silian brought out a chair from the room and wiped her hands before helping him sit in the yard.
It was still a bit cold in March, and it was the rural season. Ning Silian decided to clean up the house, both inside and out. She took a deep breath and found an old set of clothes from her room.
"Elder sister, what are you doing?" Ning Huai was curious to see her tear his clothes into small pieces.
"There's too much dust in the house. Huai and I will clean up together, okay?" Ning Silian passed the shredded cloth to Ning Huai.
Ning Huai immediately understood and nodded. He ran towards the well in the yard to get water. He finally got the water out.
Ning Silian started to sweep the kitchen with the bucket while Ning Huai followed closely behind her like a small tail.
Ji Ruchang, who was sitting in the yard looking at their busy figures, suddenly felt a tinge of envy in his heart. Since when could he be so carefree?
About four hours later, when the shower was almost done, Ning Silian remembered that Ji Ruchang was still sitting in the yard. She hurriedly went up and said, "Sorry, I forgot the time, but it is already now. Do you want to go back to your room?"
Ji Ruchang's expression was cold as he shook his head: "How about you tell me about the Village Liu!"
"Ah?" "This!" Ning Silian was startled. She wasn't very clear about the situation with Village Liu either.
Ning Huai ran towards Ji Ruchang and glared at him, saying, "Brother-in-law, you don't need to ask your sister. Your sister doesn't know anything, let me tell you!"
"Oh?" It would be interesting if she didn't know anything, "Could it be that your sister isn't someone from the Village Liu? How could I not know? "
Ning Huai puffed out his chest, frowned and said, "Sister's forehead was injured, and the people from the village sank into Luo River, so I forgot about everything when I came back."
Hearing Ning Huai say that Ning Silian had been sunk by the villagers before, his gaze landed on Ning Silian as he sized her up.
"That, is indeed the case." Ning Silian lowered her head, afraid that he would notice.
Seeing this, Ji Ruchang waved his hand and walked towards Ning Huai's room. Ning Silian hurried over to help him, "Um, if anyone asks, I will explain it clearly. Don't worry."
Ning Silian immediately explained, afraid that he would misunderstand her refusal to let him go.
