C5 Smell of Gunpowder
Wen Yuqing and her uncle, Wen Yin.
Wen Yin was a middle-aged man in his forties. He seemed to have been secretly helping Xu Ye with the marriage between her and Wen Yuqing.
For example, the last time he forced Wen Yuqing to come to the hospital from the airport.
For example, he had forced Wen Yuqing to accompany her to the hospital.
For some reason, today's Xu Ran was more reserved than ever, or perhaps it could be said that she was afraid.
With a single glance, Wen Yuqing saw through her with even more disdain in his eyes. This woman had always liked to act weak in front of men.
"An Ran, Uncle has been busy these days and didn't have time to see you. I'm sorry." Wen Yin's voice was very soft, but it carried a trace of intimacy.
Xu Ran's hand trembled as she shook her head. She inadvertently glanced at Wen Yuqing and quickly lowered her head.
"It's fine, I'll do it myself … "I can."
When Wen Yin saw her like this, he did not say much and instead looked sharply at Wen Yuqing beside him. He said, "Help An Ran downstairs."
Xu Ran instantly raised her head in astonishment and immediately refused. She waved her hand and said, "It's alright, I can really do it myself."
God knows how much Wen Yuqing hated physical contact with her.
Wen Yuqing, who was originally about to refuse, immediately thought back to the scene when he saw Yin Ze touch her head. His eyes darkened as he forcefully grabbed her arm with his long legs.
The voice was still cold. "Let's go."
Xu Ran was stunned. She forgot to step forward for a moment as she was almost dragged along by Wen Yuqing.
Wen Yuqing's strength was great. When he held her right arm, she felt as if her piece was about to be grabbed by him until it turned red.
Her legs were just right and she walked slowly, but Wen Yuqing didn't have the slightest intention of taking her into consideration. Walking like the wind, Xu Ran was unable to keep up with her, so she could only continue to be dragged along by him.
It was only when they had descended the stairs and walked out of the hall on the first floor that Wen Yuqing finally stopped and looked at the people beside him.
She frowned, cold sweat breaking out on her forehead from the pain.
Wen Yuqing's heart skipped a beat, but immediately recovered its coldness. "What? Does it hurt so much when you're with me?"
Xu Ran pursed her lips and said softly, "Walking is too fast."
He sneered, and suddenly shook her hand away, "In that case, leave by yourself, in case there are any side effects, you can only blame it on me."
When he turned to leave, he saw Yin Ze standing ten steps away from them.
Wen Yuqing's eyes subconsciously darkened. Yin Ze's peach blossom eyes made him extremely unhappy.
Yin Ze naturally didn't have a good attitude towards Wen Yuqing. Walking up to the two of them, he didn't even spare them a glance as he directly asked Xu Ran, "Discharge today?"
Xu Ran nodded.
"Your legs haven't fully recovered yet. If you can't keep up with others, then don't follow them. Walk slowly, you will eventually reach it."
This sentence had a profound meaning, it seemed more like it was intended for the man beside him to hear.
Wen Yuqing clenched his fists tightly, staring at Yin Ze with his deep eyes.
"If Young Master Yin is done, please step aside, I'm taking her home."
Yin Ze mocked, "This road is so wide, Young Master Wen, if you can't wait any longer, you can go by the side."
Wen Yuqing had a terrible look on his face as he pulled Xu Ran away.
Yin Ze suddenly stretched out his hand to stop him, his eyes solemn. "Wen Yuqing, you really want her to become a cripple, don't you?"
"What you become is none of your business." Wen Yuqing retorted.
The smell of gunpowder between the two of them was too strong. Seeing that Yin Ze was about to throw his fist at him, Xu Ran held his hand and shook her head.
