It was a long night and I had begun to feel my feet hurt from standing too long and walking around to greet and meet Connor's associates, each time getting introduced as his girlfriend. Sometimes, it earned me surprised looks from them who probably thought Connor and Jessica were an item already. Others had jealousy and envy in their eyes and tone
