C29 CHAPTER 28

Jojo kept rambling during breakfast while I chipped in a few reluctant 'mmm' and 'oh' here and there. But that did not stop her from talking and I felt grateful when we finished our breakfast and she began to clear the table. I gulped as I braced myself to tell her the matter that I had been brooding over since yesterday.

"I will be spending a few weeks at Connor's." I began
