C10 It Was Not Bad to Exchange for Some Benefits!
"Director Zhang truly has a soft spot for the ladies," Yeh Xirann remarked with a tilt of her head, gazing at him. "Today's my first day at Yeh's Embroidery. I hope you won't give me a hard time when we get down to business."
"Of course not! With your beauty and grace, how could I ever be hard on you?" Director Zhang replied with a grin, his hands mischievously wandering to Yeh Xirann's legs under the table and giving them a firm squeeze.
A glint of ice flashed in Yeh Xirann's eyes as she instinctively tried to pull away...
But the impulse was fleeting.
Having resolved to go through with her plan, she saw no point in playing coy...
Her response brought a delighted smile to Director Zhang's face.
The onlookers, sharp as tacks, caught on to the dynamics at play. As the meal progressed, they began to egg them on.
Yeh Xirann had already exceeded her three-drink limit, yet her companions kept finding excuses to pour her more.
In plain terms, they were setting the stage for a seemingly "accidental" event.
Like the kind of mishaps that happen when one has had too much to drink...
After the third round of drinks, Director Zhang had shed his earlier decorum and pulled Yeh Xirann into his lap.
Despite having taken something to counteract the alcohol, Yeh Xirann struggled to keep her wits about her.
Seizing the moment, she wrapped her arms around Director Zhang's neck and presented the contract for his signature.
"It seems you're not drunk enough, but some things lose their charm if you're too inebriated," Director Zhang said with a chuckle as he signed his name and obligingly added his fingerprint.
The prize was within reach—there was no way it could slip away now!
Mission accomplished, Yeh Xirann breathed a sigh of relief, her anxiety finally subsiding.
Indeed, some tasks are more easily accomplished by a woman...
"Shall we head upstairs in a bit?"
Director Zhang, wine glass in one hand and the other on Yeh Xirann's waist, was visibly thrilled.
He had no particular quirks; he simply enjoyed the company of beautiful women...
Yeh Xirann's eyes sparkled with feigned annoyance as she forcefully quelled the rising tide of revulsion within her.
"Alright! I'd appreciate it if you could go easy on me, Director Zhang..."
Her plea was cut short as Director Zhang's lips drew perilously close to Yeh Xirann's.
Having made the decision to come, Yeh Xirann had no illusions about escaping the situation...
She wasn't some untouched maiden; if there was a benefit to be gained, it wasn't such a bad deal.
Just as their lips were about to meet, the door to the private room burst open.
Mu Yanchen's figure appeared unexpectedly before the six onlookers.
He was clad in his preferred dark suit, with a grey and black shirt underneath. The only change since their last encounter was a different pattern on his tie and tie clip.
"I was at the cocktail party upstairs and Kuan Yue mentioned that Mu's newly appointed senior executive was here to sign a contract. I thought I'd drop by," Mu Yanchen explained.
As he spoke, a waiter efficiently set up an additional place at the table.
Kuan Yue mopped his brow, visibly tense as he stood behind Mu Yanchen.
He had braced himself for the scene within the private room; Director Zhang's notorious reputation was no secret to anyone.
Yet, he couldn't be certain how Mu Yanchen would take it.
Few men could stomach seeing their wife in the embrace of another man.
Even if Mu Yanchen held no affection for her, it was hardly common knowledge that Yeh Xirann was Mrs. Mu. But their marriage was official, names and all!
And even if we set that aside, surely a Mu's employee shouldn't be sitting in a client's lap in front of their boss?
"Director Zhang, it seems my boss has come to check up on things!" Yeh Xirann's smile was radiant, her voice dripping with flirtatious undertones.
She had sorely miscalculated Mu Yanchen's audacity...
If he was intent on witnessing her degradation, she'd make sure he got his fill.
