C8 You Don't Have the Right to Comment!

Hearing Kuan Yue's words, Yeh Xirann felt a pang of sorrow in her heart.

Even the executive assistant was aware she had awakened, yet Mu Yanchen acted as surprised as if he'd seen a chicken lay an egg. Ridiculous!

"I'm alright. All my parts are in working order. I may be foolish, but I'm resilient!" Yeh Xirann joked, smiling at herself.

Kuan Yue couldn't help but feel a twinge of discomfort at her words.

In looks, talent, and character, Yeh Xirann was second to none.

If there was any area where she fell short, it was perhaps her excessive devotion to her emotions, stubbornly clinging to Mu Yanchen as if her life depended on it.

With Mu Yanchen gone and her objective unmet, lingering here was pointless. After a brief exchange with Kuan Yue, she took her leave.

Kuan Yue escorted her to the company's front gate and, as always, considerately hailed a taxi for her.

The further she got from Mu's, the heavier Yeh Xirann's heart sank.

She had hoped Mu Yanchen would show some decency, considering she had narrowly escaped death, but now she realized he was nothing but callous and unfeeling, lacking any semblance of human conscience.

He wouldn't grant her a divorce and even threatened her using her brother!

Despite her concessions, he still wouldn't allow her to live in peace...

Well, if that was the case, then no one would have peace!

...

When Kuan Yue came back with Yeh Xirann's signed agreement, Mu Yanchen had just stepped out of the meeting room.

Staring at the neatly penned signature, he experienced a momentary blankness, his usually icy demeanor momentarily stilled.

He had expected Yeh Xirann to come to him to negotiate after seeing the demanding terms of the agreement.

But she hadn't even made a phone call; she had simply signed it?

This was out of character for her.

"She didn't object?" Mu Yanchen asked, looking down at the agreement, still somewhat incredulous.

"No," Kuan Yue replied, pausing to add, "She read through it just once before signing."

Kuan Yue wasn't taken aback by Yeh Xirann's response.

Having been through a life-or-death ordeal, if she hadn't learned to keep her composure, it would only mean the experience hadn't hurt her enough.

However, he was certain that Yeh Xirann was truly hurting this time. She might not have had a complete epiphany, but she definitely wouldn't allow Mu Yanchen to manipulate and torment her as he had in the past.

"Okay. Tell her to start tomorrow." Mu Yanchen tossed the agreement onto his desk with a hint of scorn in his eyes.

He had given Yeh Xirann an employment contract.

As long as she could generate a profit of 500 million for Yeh's Embroidery within a year, she could reclaim complete ownership of the company.

During this time, she would only serve as the executive director hired by Mu's for Yeh's Embroidery, with decision-making and operational authority, but without any ownership rights.

In essence, she was just a laborer...

Given Yeh's Embroidery's current financial state, achieving a profit of 500 million seemed nearly impossible, let alone 100 million...

"Miss Yeh, after you've signed the agreement, come to the company with me. The onboarding process is complete, and you can start working now."

Mu Yanchen's typing halted briefly as he let out a cold laugh, "Quite eager, aren't we? Regarding the contract you were supposed to sign tonight... send her to do it."

"Young, Young Master Mu?" Kuan Yue stuttered, taken aback.

"You're not in a position to comment. Just go and get to work," Mu Yanchen dismissed Kuan Yue with evident displeasure.

Kuan Yue moved his lips but ultimately didn't dare to speak up.

Yeh Xirann, diligently reviewing documents in her new office, felt no surprise upon receiving the schedule Kuan Yue had personally delivered.

Mu Yanchen had no intention of divorcing her and had purposely arranged for her to work at Mu's as a way to shame her...

As long as there was a chance to retrieve her parents' company and safeguard her brother, she was willing to do whatever it took.

This sliver of hope was all that sustained her, and she was fearless in her pursuit.
