C9 There Was No Proper Business at the Table!

"Kuan Yue, I remember you always keep hangover remedies on hand. Could I borrow one?" Yeh Xirann glanced at the clock, realizing it was far too late to go downstairs and buy some herself. Kuan Yue was her only hope.

For them, it was an essential item!

Understanding her need, Kuan Yue pulled out a packet from his pocket and set it on the table. "Mango-flavored, not bad at all."

Yeh Xirann arched an eyebrow. "As expected, Special Assistant Kuan is the most thoughtful!"

"Cut the flattery and focus on the materials. The other party is tough to handle. Brace yourself and be cautious."

Kuan Yue whispered this last part, even though they were alone in the office, as if worried about eavesdroppers.

"I'm on it," Yeh Xirann said, dropping her playful demeanor. "I'm familiar with this person's style and have a clear strategy in mind."

Kuan Yue's brow furrowed. "I've arranged for two people to be there as backup, just in case..."

"There's no need. I'm determined to secure this contract... It's a rare opportunity. If I could land one like this every month, I'd achieve my goals much sooner." While speaking, Yeh Xirann casually tied her hair back.

Coming to work at the company, she couldn't always be bundled up in a down jacket. To avoid looking too thin, she had intentionally chosen a loose, turtleneck sweater that concealed her neck and collarbones.

With the conversation at an end, Kuan Yue sighed and returned to his own tasks.

Yeh Xirann was well-acquainted with the work at Yeh's Embroidery from her time there before marriage. A quick review of the documents was all it took for her to grasp what the client wanted and to what extent Yeh's Embroidery could accommodate.

The key negotiations were complete; after all, who discusses serious business over drinks? To be frank, this meeting was just icing on the cake, a test to see if the client's stringent additional demands could be met.

Yeh Xirann touched her face and meticulously began to reapply her makeup.

Mu Yanchen thought he could condemn her to hell... but he failed to realize that someone who has returned from hell doesn't fear the journey back.

Yeh Xirann intentionally arrived five minutes past the scheduled time, making her entrance into the private room.

The spacious private room in the upscale restaurant was set with only six seats.

As the waiter escorted Yeh Xirann inside, the five individuals already there were visibly taken aback.

Director Zhang, seated at the head of the table, was particularly struck. His eyes lit up with an intense glow upon seeing Yeh Xirann's exquisite features.

"Apologies for my tardiness," Yeh Xirann said, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear while keeping her gaze fixed on Director Zhang. "I am Yeh Xirann, the head of Yeh's Embroidery."

Director Zhang appeared even more unkempt than the photos she had researched.

"So, it wasn't Special Assistant Kuan who was supposed to come for the signing? Mu's truly is a customer-centric company," Director Zhang said, responding to Yeh Xirann's inquisitive look with ease.

The others quickly made room, leaving a seat open next to Director Zhang.

Whether the guest was a man or a woman, the approach would undoubtedly differ.

Yeh Xirann removed her coat and took her seat with confidence.

Her scent wafted over, leaving Director Zhang feeling invigorated and completely at ease.

"Traditionally, the one who arrives late must drink three cups as a penalty before we get down to business," Director Zhang said, his eyes twinkling as he filled Yeh Xirann's glass to the brim.

"The chill hasn't even left me, and already Director Zhang is eager to have me drink," Yeh Xirann remarked, playfully pouting, her demeanor deliberately flirtatious, which sent a shiver of delight through Director Zhang.

"Ah, my mistake! Let's not drink this just yet. We'll make up for it once the meal is served!"

Upon hearing Director Zhang's words, the assistant by the door promptly got up to see to the arrangements.
