C4 The Competition

" Can I get your number?" A random boy asked me.

"Yes, sure. " I said with a fake smile on my face. The boy became happy. And he left from there.

"Woah, Mars. You've become today's new attention. " Serena said smiling.

" This is the sixth time someone has asked my number. I rejected all of them. But I gave him. " I said pointing towards the guy whom I've given my number. He winked at me and I winked at him. And then he put a hand in his chest trying to show he has become hurt by my actions but then he fell from the chair. We started laughing.

And then my gaze turned to Zakhar. He was sitting with his group in the popular table. He looked pissed off and looking at me with his infamous glare. I threw him a flying kiss and he dropped his drink on his shirt. He said something like , Shit! & We started laughing. Serves him right.

Me : 01 , the boys : 00

"That's what attitude we should have towards boys. " Serena said smiling at me. I turned my attention to her.

" Well I think somebody is jealous. " She said in a whisper. Before I could say something someone spoke.

" Well girls look who wants to become like us? Well sorry Nance but you can never become like us. " I looked at the person and saw it was none other than Anny Renns. My ex best friend. What did she want now?

"Mary Nance I know you're jealous. Just because you gained the playboy's attention doesn't mean you'll rule the school. I'm the queen here and I'll always be. And I'm naturally beautiful." She said in a fake tone.

"Well , everyone can see who is jealous. " Serena said in a sarcastic way.

" What do you mean Elomes? " She said.

" At least she didn't need surgeries to look beautiful. What're you wearing fake blondie? " Serena said jokingly.

Everyone looked at Anny. There were rumours about it. But she always said she was a real beauty. And she didn't tell us about the surgeries. We found out by eavesdropping . Her parents were angry at her for doing the surgeries. But we never said her that we knew that.

"How did you know? " She said in a whisper.

"Well everyone can see the differences between real and fake. So take your negativity with you and get the hell out of here " Serena said angrily.

Everyone was shocked. Serena is a girl who is really shy. Doesn't speak much. She never raised her voice to someone in her whole life. But today she is barking at her. I patted her with a look that says it's okay. She looked at me with a look that says that idiotic girl should know who she is. Anny looked at us with a bloodshot glare that her truth about surgeries got exposed. But she faked her voice and said to us

"Well, sweetheart I know you're jealous that you can't beat me in looks. " She said by flipping her hair.

"Well, she can beat a despicable person like you in anything" Serena said loudly.

" Well then let's participate in this Instagram story competition. And let's see who is the winner. " She said laughingly. She knew I don't do Instagram stories. That's why she did that.

" Well count her in" Serena said.

They left from there before saying, " Get ready to lose, Nance. "

" In your dreams" I said. I know I hated Instagram stories. Because I don't know what to post or you can say I'm lazy. But I can't disappoint my best friend.

" You've to make sure you win. And that bitch lose. " She said breathlessly.

"Calm down, Siren. " I said to her.

" I have a plan. " Serena said. " You can show some dance skills or some looks that would probably flat the boys. Or we can post the video which we've shooted in the morning. I just need to put some music and add some effects on it. "Serena told me.

" That video?? No, Siren. Not that. "

" Why not? You're gonna win. And that bitch will realise with whom she had messed with. "

"But...." I tried to say something.

" No buts. Please "She said and then started pouting again.

" Okay. But are you sure this is gonna work? " I asked her.

" Of course. I'm sure. " Serena said confidentially.

"Okay then. " I smiled

"I've sent that video last night." Serena said happily.

" Hmmm. Good." I said not looking away from the book I was reading.

"Really? Mars. That's what you gonna say. You didn't even watch that video. " She looked at me disbelievingly.

"Well, that's because it doesn't matter. If you've edited that it would be much much better. Because you've awesome editing skills. " I said her. I know she likes to hear praises. That's what that made her happy.

Serena smiled at me and said, " You really know how to flatter me. "

" Because I'm your best friend for god's sake. Of course I know you! " I said tapping her cheeks.

"We'll get the results today. I'm excited. By the way I'm telling you if you won you've to go to the shopping with me. " she said.

" How can you be so sure that I'll be the winner? Anny can also be the winner. She is really beautiful and has awesome looks. " I said to her.

"Because you're naturally beautiful from both mind and body. Not like her. And you're a better person than her. " Serena said confidentially.

"You really know how to open me up , Siren. That's why I call you Siren. " I said pulling her cheeks.

" Aw! Mars! It hurts. But you'll go with me in shopping, won't you? " She said eyeing at me.

" Okay, Siren. But please don't spend an hour on a outfit that you won't buy. " I said. She always spends unnecessary time on things that she won't buy. And that's why I don't like to go to shopping with her.

" That's window shopping, idiot .. " She told me.

" Whatever. But please don't do that. " I pleaded her.

" I can't promise but I'll try not to do that. " She told me.

" Thank you. " I said to her.

And we started to talk about other stuffs. And then she bade me and went to the hall. And told me to come there after reading.

I've pointed some important topics for the assignment because I know that stupid Zakhar will not do anything. After finishing it I was going to put down the book back to the rack and I bumped into someone. And I looked to curse that person and I saw Cole Adams. My whole body froze.
