The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was the unfamiliar ceiling.

My heart skipped.

I shot upright so fast that my head throbbed. The soft king-sized bed, the luxurious hotel room, the neatly folded blanket beside me… none of it belonged to me.

My gaze darted around the room.
