Chapter 5 - Be My Woman

All of a sudden, everyone's eyes were wide open while their tongues were tied. However, no one dared to say anything.

"I didn't." Faintly, as if there was a well-built person holding onto him in a warm embrace, Jian Qingyan muttered to himself like a person who had caught onto a floating log in the middle of the ocean, "I don't."

When Qin Xiu entered, he saw this scene. Narrowing his eyes, he took a big step forward and hugged the woman up.

With his body weightless, Jian Qingyan opened her misty eyes.

"Thank you for saving me." Today, she thought that she would really die, but this man suddenly appeared like a god. Jian Qingyan was filled with gratitude.

"Why don't you just lie there?" After silently placing the woman back on the bed, Qin Xiu was actually unwilling to let go of her.

The servant accepted the order and left. Not long later, the piping hot meat porridge with leathery eggs was served.

"Thank you." The fresh pot's fragrance was refreshing, and upon smelling it, Jian Qingyan's stomach growled even louder, the sound becoming clearer in the silent air.

A faint blush appeared on her face as she accepted it with embarrassment. She tried her best to maintain her politeness, but the taste was too tasty. She couldn't help but swallow it down, as if she had been reincarnated as a hungry ghost.

She licked her lips and looked pitifully at him, wanting to ask for another bowl of the dish. However, the man decisively rejected her: "You can't eat anymore, your current body can't go overboard."

Qin Xiu took the empty bowl from the woman's hands humbly, and then sat in front of her with his long fingers wrapped around his knees, as if he wanted to talk to her.

"Be my woman." He went straight to the point.

Jian Qingyan's face instantly turned pale white.

"Mr. Qin Qin, I will never be a lover, nor will I ruin the families of others." After mulling over it for a while, Qingyan carefully opened his mouth and rejected without hesitation.

Little San was not even allowed to see her child in public. She had once vowed not to live such a life.
