This story is amazing! 5/5

This one is more focused on really cultivating and fighting than romance. I like the funny parts and how much FL stands her ground. Although it really gets out of hands a lot of the time, I admire her a lot and I can see why many like her. She’s ruthless yet kind, as long as you stay on her side you’ll be okay. Also, there’s priest and pope in this setting too, it’s quite interesting.

It’s not the type of plot that’s new but it certainly has its charm, the writing and worldbuilding is unexpectedly good. I like this novel a lot but there are many things that make it hard to fully like FL. For the crime of a person the whole clan suffered, it’s truly a bloodbath. I really wondered how the people there repopulate fast enough for this kind of slaughter to happen so often.

The characters are well written too but it’s really hard to accept that the emperor who has a high level of cultivation could be like that, considering he lived in the imperial palace most of his life, not knowing the schemes within the harem is quite unbelievable. I thought that with the queen mother like that he would know better. The depth of male characters that aren’t the leads are really shallow after FL arrived at the upper realm.

I feel kinda bad for Mu Yan, he became more like a side character toward the end, almost like the author is tired of writing more of him😭. Just a warning if you are greedy and selfish like me you might not enjoy the ending that much, yk wanting both to be for FL. The pronouns and names constantly change, it’s a little annoying but it’s readable. It’s an up and down between frustration and satisfaction but it’s definitely a good read, recommend👍.
