C1 Chapter One

Kira POV

I was shopping for groceries at the convenience store when a robber burst in and shouted

"Everybody get down! Bring out all your money" he shouted and pointed a gun to the cashier

Everyone ran Helter-skelter

I stayed calm as he was robbing the cash register

I trailed closer to the robber and I removed my black jacket exposing the black tee-shirt I wore underneath and my bosson popping out.

"Gosh! Isn't it hot in here?" I said as the robber stared at me with lust

"Hey! Sweetheart, move back don't come closer now"He said with his eyes still on me.

As he got distracted,I snatched the gun from him and twisted his arms back pinning him to the ground

"Now that's how you deal with a criminal" I said

The police arrived and I handed the robber over to them

"That was impressive, Kira"A voice said and I turned to see Leonard my police detective friend

"Oh Leo, when did you get here?"I asked

"Just in time to witness how you dealt with that robber impressively"Leo said

I blushed a bit at his words.. I met Leo during a future detective summer program for high school students last year and since then I've taken a liking to him..

"That's one of the perks of having a detective father,he taught me all I know even karate"I said and we both laughed

"Let's have dinner tonight by 7pm"Leo said

"Sure I'll be there" I said excitedly

Maybe he has taken a liking to me and he finally wants to confess his feelings to me.

I blushed at that thought.

At 7pm, I wore a casual black dress and a black jacket

I'm not the type of girl who fancies dressing up,I mean clothes are just meant to be worn not for show-off.

When I got there,we sat down to talk.

"I know you've being waiting to hear this.." he started

You bet I have!

My face had already started heating up

"You have the potentials of a good detective, that's why I want you to go on this important mission" He said

My smile instantly fell and I could feel my heart shatter.

"Yeah sure,tell me more about it" I said with seriousness

"We have had information that Mr Anderson is doing an illegal business"He said

Wait,Mr Anderson? The billionaire? Doing an illegal business?

"...and we want you to act as a bodyguard for his son while spying on him,you must get to know where he's hiding all the gold he's smuggling"He said

"Bodyguard? Do I really have to act as a bodyguard for his KID to spy on him" I said

"Yes and he's son is not a kid but a 19- year old who's in his last year in highschool and he wants an attractive bodyguard...so who better than you can fill in that position" He said with a smile

Did he indirectly just tell me that I'm attractive? Oh Leo he's so cute

"It seems like a dangerous mission but I'll try my best" I said

He handed me some files

"These contains all the information you might need for your new disguise and you'll have a job interview with Mr Anderson tomorrow" Leo said and picked his ringing phone

"Excuse me I'll take my leave now... I'll drop you at Mr Anderson's house tomorrow......" He said leaving in a rush while talking on phone

Tomorrow? He isn't even giving me anytime to prepare..

I wonder if it's a girl that called him that he had to end our meeting like that... could it be his girlfriend?

Darn Mr Anderson! Darn Leo for making me develop feelings for him..

* * * The Next Day * * *

Kira POV

I'm currently sitting in front of the most scariest man on earth right now.

I feel like sprinting out of here right now because his face is giving me the chills..

His presence screamed danger..

"So you think you can act as a bodyguard for my son" He said staring intensely at me

"Yes sir, I promise I'll always be around him 24/7 and I'll ensure that he's not under danger" I said

How can you try to protect your son when your face alone looks dangerous

"Well...you do look like someone capable of the job..hmm I'll leave my son to decide" Mr Anderson said and then called his servant to take me to where his son is..

The servant directed me to a lounge where I could meet him..

"Try not to fall for his charms" The servant said before running off

What was that? What does she mean? Or wait is my life here in danger?

Should I just turn back and run out of this house?

Nono Kira you're a strong girl so you can do this

As I was about to open the door someone opened it from the inside and sprang on me

Wait...am I carrying a full grown boy in my arms?

"A cockroach! Th.. there's a cockroach on the couch, kill it right now" The boy who I still haven't seen his face said

"There's no cockroach there again, it's gone now" I lied

He raised his head to look at me and I could feel my jaw dropping

He suddenly jumped down from me and I started at this gorgeous human in front of me

He has the most cutest, beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen with his long hair tied at the back and his slim, long legs and broad shoulders...

Holy jeezz! Is this the boy I'm supposed to protect? I think my heart needs protection from him instead...

He cleared his throat to talk

"Hmm sorry about that...I have entomophobia...so let me guess you're here to apply as a bodyguard" He said as he scrutinizes me under his gaze.

Chase POV

Damn! She is gorgeous

Her long red hair complimented her fiery eyes...she looked cool in her black outfit.

I think I've found my attractive bodyguard

"Ok then you've got the job and you must start working as from today" I said

"Today?...wait you mean like right now?" She asked looking shocked

"Yes or is there a problem with that?"

"No no sir there's no problem" She said

"Call me Chase, I'm sure I'm not that older than you" I said annoyed

"Oh ok.. I'm Kira" She said and stretched her hand forward and I accepted her handshake

"Welcome to this house Kira! I'll ask my driver to take you home so you can pack all your necessary items" I said.

She nodded and then left.

My Dad surely knows my type.
