C5 Chapter Five

Kira POV

It's being two days now and chase is still not talking to me

He's just proving his stubbornness, he doesn't even want me to explain.

So I also kept quiet and just quietly followed him around 24/7

And Damina was gladly taking advantage of this, she'll hold on to chase's arm tight and follow him everywhere... it's strange that chase isn't even avoiding her like before, he's just letting her cling on to him like a fly!

Or is he doing this to make me jealous?

No no chase wouldn't do that,I mean why would he? we aren't even that close..that was just a stupid thought of mine.

While I and chase was walking along the hallway, Damina was walking towards us when she just stepped on a puddle of water and slipped... Surprisingly Chase held her from falling by holding her waist.

They both just stayed fixed in that position, Damina face was just radiating with happiness as she stared at Chase who stared back at her with an expressionless face..

It just got me sick as I excused myself to the restroom...

I was walking back from the restroom when someone pulls me into the janitor's closet... I was just about to kick the person thinking it was Damien

"Woah woah woah...hold on girl" Chase said.

Oh it was chase!! Thank goodness he spoke up before I hit him.

"Why did you suddenly excuse yourself?" He asked

"Because I had to urgently use the restroom" I said

"No it's because you were jealous... right?" Chase said

Jealous? Is chase alright

"Jealous? What could I be jealous about?" I asked in confusion

"The way I held her... you're jealous right?" Chase said grinning

"Excuse me Sir... nothing concerns me and your personal life, I'm just here to watch and pro..." I said but got cut off

"Yeah yeah... just spare me the business talk" Chase said

I thought chase was ignoring me, now why is he here?

"I thought you were avoiding me sir?" I asked

"Forget that...I need you to keep Damina away from me" He said

"Hmm sir like I said before,I have no right to interfere in your perso..." I said but got cut off again

I hate being interrupted at a sentence!

"Yes I know, I know... just see it as protecting me from a stalker... she's invading my private space,just keep her away from me" Chase said

"Yes sir, you've gat it" I smirked and walked out of the janitor's closet..

On my way out, I met Damina who almost bumped into me..

Great!! Why do I have to see her now?

"Didn't you see that?" She asked

"See what?" I asked

"They way Chase held me... I'm sure he's still in love with me... he's just so sweet and caring" She said daydreaming about chase

I think this girl is sick.

"So I hope you gat the message... stay away from chase! He's mine and only mine" She said

"Wait...did I ever say I wanted him?" I asked

"You're just his bodyguard and you mean nothing to him...so I need you to stay away from my future husband" Damina said

Really? Future husband? She is really obsessed with chase.

"So you may look tough and all but I'm not afraid of you...so stay away from my chase" She added

"I'm sorry I can't do that, I'm being paid to stay by his side 24/7 and besides I'm not attracted to him" I said

"Oh please... literally every girl in this school is in love with chase, I mean who wouldn't... he's like the most gorgeous man on earth, with his shiny long black hair and dreamy eyes that I could get lost in all day.." She said daydreaming about chase again

"So there's no way you can't be attracted to him unless you're a lesbian...or wait do you like me instead?" She said gasping

This girl is really crazy...fine I'll go with the flow.

I moved my face closer to her and whispered"Maybe"

She looked shocked

"Well I don't blame you...who wouldn't love me? I'm perfect but I'm sorry you're not my type" She said and started moving backwards

Gosh, she's so full of herself!

"That's too bad because I think I'm in love with you and I want you" I said

I leaned in closer and pouted my lips for a kiss

"Eww get away from me" she said and ran..

I burst out laughing

Atleast that'll keep her away for a while.

Kira POV

My little stunt actually worked

Anytime Damina tried to get closer to chase and when she sees me, she'll retreat and walk back.

Atleast that was a problem solved but I wasn't exactly celebrating, it had only being two weeks and I wanted to give up already.

Chase was a total pain in the butt and such a big baby.

He would complain over the smallest things like not having enough toothpaste in his tooth brush, his shoes aren't clean enough,his outfit isn't good enough and they were all driving me crazy!

One day he was making a huge fuss about a mosquito bite

"How could you not stop it from sucking my precious blood? I thought you had great reflexes" he said

"Can't you see it's swollen" he pointed to the bite and I sighed

"You're not gonna die from it Sir, please relax" I said...

I haven't even being doing my mission properly because of him and this house is just too guarded!

My phone started ringing and I saw that it was Leo...what am I going to tell him when he asks me about the mission so far?

I picked it

"Hello Kira...how have you being?" He asked

Hearing his voice again was so relaxing,I didn't realize how much I've missed Leo up till now

"I'm fine.. atleast you called to check up on me" I said

He chuckled noticing the sarcasm in my voice

"It's just that I've being really busy that's why I haven't being able to call... anyways how's the mission going so far?" He asked

I gulped

"Hmm Leo I haven't really gotten any clue about where he's keeping the gold bars" I said truthfully

"What the? What have you being doing Kira?! It's being up to three weeks now and you still don't have any clue" Leo said in a raised voice

"I haven't had enough chance, I'm always busy following his son around...and this house has CCTV cameras everywhere, it's just...hard." I said replying back in a raised voice

"Hard? You are Kira Kearney, you've never found any of your mission hard...you just need enough time" He said

This is why I had a crush on Leo, he is so understanding and caring.

"Thanks Leo...I guess I really needed that encouragement" I said

"So since there's CCTV cameras everywhere and you're always too busy following chase around...you can as well install spy cameras all over the house so that wherever you are, it'll be easy for you to spy on Mr Anderson" Leo suggested

Actually that was a great idea! Why didn't I think of that ever since? Well how can I think when chase is making me go crazy.

"Thanks Leo... that's a great suggestion" I said

Leo cut the call and I just wished I could hear his voice once more.

"Kira!" I heard chase calling me

Great! What could he want now?

I went to his room as he was already cuddled up on his bed

"What do you want sir? It's late already" I said

"That's the thing... I'm finding it hard to sleep" he said

"So how does that concern me?"

"I want you to sing me a lullaby" he said

"Sing a whatt?"

Did I hear that clearly?
