C12 Why Are You Crying

Mrs Zhang smiled wryly when she saw the house in front of her. They had been living in the Residence of the Duke of Guo's courtyard for the past, but now they had fallen to Tian Bu.

"Forget it, it's better to have a place to stay than nothing. Let's go in and clean up. After a few days on the road, everyone is tired."

Mrs Chen grabbed Miss Qing and got off the carriage before turning around to support Jiang Wan.

"It's better for you to go inside to rest. Yuezi has been following you around the whole time, so be careful that you don't fall sick. If there's anything you want, tell it to Second Sister-in-Law. I'll help you get it."

Looking at Jiang Wan's tired face, Mrs Zhang gave the same suggestion. "Aunt Wang , go and clean up a clean place for the Anhui and children to rest."

Jiang Wan patted the child in her arms. The child was sleeping soundly in her mother's embrace.

"I'm fine, I'll help everyone clean up."

"You're still taking your child, you should go rest. We're just here to clean up."

Mrs Chen looked at the child in Jiang Wan's arms, who was twisting and twisting in her arms. She kept moaning and laughing lightly.

The two of them sat in the shade after Eldest Sister-in-Law and Eldest Sister-in-Law entered the courtyard.

Since the children were still young and needed someone to look after their belongings, the two of them decided to just stand in a corner.

Suddenly, the child started crying loudly.

Jiang Wan quickly patted her child's back, but he didn't stop. He waved his hand and put it in his mouth from time to time, whining as he did not know what to do.

Mrs Xu and her mother-in-law, Mrs Zhang, walked around the courtyard together. The environment here was indeed not good …

She came out when she heard the child crying outside.

"What's wrong?" Why are you crying? "

Mrs Xu looked at Jiang Wan's anxious face, then looked at the child once more.

"Is Little Chixi hungry?" "Since you've been eating your own fingers, come quickly and feed the child. I just saw a relatively clean house."

Mrs Xu pulled Jiang Wan along as she said this.

… ….

When she entered the room, Jiang Wan couldn't help but shiver. There was no sunlight in the room. It was very dark and also a little wet. She subconsciously hugged the child in her arms, went inside and pulled out her clothes to feed the child.

Mrs Xu had been waiting outside the whole time. She was worried that Jiang Wan would be embarrassed if someone came and bumped into her.

Little Chixi fell asleep again as he ate his breast milk …

When Jiang Wan carried the child out again, the sky was a bit dark. The sun was blocked by dark clouds, and the stuffy air had a hint of coldness in it.

Aunt Wang called out to the servants she brought with her. "It looks like the sky is about to rain. Everyone move faster. Be careful, there's no place to hide from the rain."

"Momo, I've discovered that this room is extremely cold. If it wasn't for the brazier, I'm afraid it would have caught a chill."

Jiang Wan walked up to Aunt Wang with the child in her arms, a little worried that everyone might get sick.

"What Third Mrs said is right. This old servant has sent people to pick up firewood. It should be time to come back."

Hearing Jiang Wan's words, Mrs Zhang looked around at the houses. The windows on the houses weren't big and the sun couldn't shine through them. The broken cold wind blew through the windows, so it was normal for it to be damp and cold inside.

Of course, Jiang Wan also noticed this. "I'll borrow some paper to paste these windows."

"Child, I told you to rest well and not run around."

Mrs Zhang looked at Jiang Wan reproachfully. She walked up and pulled Jiang Wan into the room.

Jiang Wan followed Mrs Zhang and stopped. She wanted to go out and look around to borrow some things and to familiarize herself with this place since it was their first time here.

"Mom, I'll be back soon. I want to know about the neighbors and the habits of the town."

Hearing Jiang Wan's words, Mrs Zhang looked at her for a long time without saying anything. Finally, she let out a sigh. "Fine, you can go. I'll keep an eye on the child. Go and quickly return."

"Mom, don't worry."

Jiang Wan patted Little Chixi as she spoke and passed it to Mrs Zhang.

When Jiang Wan came out of the courtyard, she saw a few curious kids standing not far away, looking over at her. Miss Qing was eagerly looking at the toy in their hands.

She had never seen this thing before, so she felt a sense of novelty.

"Miss Qing, go out with aunt to play."

Jiang Wan looked at the child and greeted him. Hearing Jiang Wan calling her, Miss Qing quickly answered and ran over.
