Everyone present was sharp enough to realize they'd been played. They were just filming a video, and Yiyi's interference was unnecessary, using them as shields. Did she really think she could manipulate them so easily?

If Lingling could hear their thoughts, she'd probably say, "Thanks for the mental gymnastics; it was a real assist."

Lingling softly added, "Principal, ladies, who knows who reported this? If it was someone from the school, why didn't they ask me or Wu Xin first? Instead, they went straight to you. If that video were taken out of context, it could be used maliciously. I suspect their goal wasn't just to target me but to tarnish the school's reputation and defame Wu Xin and his friends. You must find out who it was."

"Young lady, you're right. I won't let this slide. Thank you for handling this, dear," Wu Xin's mom, Lin Mei, said sincerely.

Meixin knew that Yiyi had always seen Wu Xin as an easy target, but since her son liked Yiyi, she chose to turn a blind eye. Now, she wanted to understand Yiyi's intentions.

"Ma'am, you're too kind. Do you know who it is?"

"Yes," Meixin replied, turning to the principal. "Principal, could you please call Yiyi in?"

Yiyi quickly arrived at the office, surprised to find everyone looking at her with complicated expressions.

Meixin was the first to speak. "Yiyi, Lingling and Wu Xin were making a video. Why didn't you ask them about it before reporting it to the principal and parents?"

"Auntie, I was worried about Wu Xin. I was afraid he might be getting bullied and not saying anything, so I told you directly," Yiyi said, maintaining her sweet demeanor.

"So, you reported them based on assumptions without asking?"

Everyone turned to look at her, and Yiyi felt a chill down her spine, but she still defended herself. "Auntie, Wu Xin did get hurt. I genuinely care about him. Lingling said they were making a video. Is there any proof of that?"

Lingling timidly took out the video. "If it wasn't for the video, then what is this? Were Wu Xin and the others trying to bully me? Yiyi, are you trying to make me falsely accuse someone?"

Yiyi didn't dare to speak.

With all the parents present, she couldn't admit that Wu Xin and the others were acting on her behalf to confront Lingling. That would be admitting she was the mastermind. But if she admitted it wasn't bullying, she'd have to acknowledge her mistake...
