As she passed through the living room, only the butler was there. Lingling glanced at him and casually said, "I have some things to take care of over the next few days, so I won't be coming back. Please have the driver ready the car; I need to head out."

Before the butler could respond, Lingling was already on her way. He was taken aback by her sudden change. Was this an unexpected outburst, or was this her true self all along?

Her original goal was to leave the Yuan family, but Lingling wanted more. She aimed to shatter Yuan Lin and Su Mei's proud "high society" ideals. She wondered how Yiyi would react when the time came. She was quite looking forward to it.

Lingling didn't plan to take things slowly. She decided to send Yiyi a big surprise. Using her hacking skills, she found intimate photos and short videos of Yiyi with various men, caught in compromising situations. She anonymously sent these to Mo Tingchen, knowing he would jump to conclusions.

As expected, Lin Chen's company faced pressure, and Yiyi was misunderstood by Mo Tingchen. Despite their drama, the two reconciled after a couple of days. Lingling wasn't interested in their love-hate relationship. Her goal was to plant seeds of doubt between them, setting the stage for future plans and keeping Yiyi too occupied to cause trouble.

At noon, Lingling arrived at the Mooh family home in the neighboring state.

“Mooh Bai, I’m back!” Lingling called out as she unlocked the door, catching sight of the young man cooking.

He stood at about six feet tall, with well-defined features and skin so pale it seemed almost unhealthy. Despite this, he had a robust build and a youthful vigor.

Lingling thought to herself that standing next to him, she must look like a coal ball by comparison.

When Mooh Bai saw Lingling, a hint of brightness appeared in his usually somber eyes. “Lingling, you’re back!”

“Don’t call me Lingling, call me sister.”

Mooh Bai glanced at her in surprise. She never used to correct him, and today she seemed a bit different.

Lingling pretended not to notice his gaze. They hadn’t seen each other for three months, so some change was normal.

“You’re only a year older than me, and I’m taller,” Mooh Bai muttered.

“Even if it’s just a day, I’m still your sister. Be good, little brother.”

“What brings you back all of a sudden?”

“Things are great in the capital. I thought I’d bring you along for some fun. Look, I’ve been there for a while, and it’s made me more outgoing.”

“Okay.”

Lingling walked over to check the pot, noticing the food was about to burn. She quickly reminded him, “Don’t just stand there, stir the food!”

Looking at the dishes on the table and in the pot, Lingling frowned slightly. “Why is it all vegetarian? You’re still growing; you need to eat meat.”

“Sis, I don’t have any money,” Mooh Bai said, looking a bit pitiful.

Lingling glanced at the already cooked meal, not wanting to waste it. “Let’s eat a little now to fill up, and later we’ll go out for a feast!”

Mooh Bai had only wanted to test Lingling, surprised that his usually frugal sister wanted to go out for a big meal. Did she come into some money?
