C11 Silly Girl 11
She had it all planned out when she made the purchase. She bought an apartment in the city, conveniently located near the company. Senior Mr. Su and Senior Mrs. Su could reside in the mountains on regular days, an environment conducive to their health. The commute to the company from there wasn't much further than from their current home.
Additionally, she had her eye on another plot of land with the intention of building a new Su residence. However, constructing it wouldn't be a quick endeavor, so finding temporary accommodations was necessary.
When she first shared this idea with Senior Mr. Su and Senior Mrs. Su, they wondered if it was because of Fu Yunfei that she was making these changes. After some contemplation, they gave their consent.
Was it because of Fu Yunfei? Not solely, but there was a reason. It wasn't her, though; it was Senior Mr. Su and Senior Mrs. Su. The elders had always maintained a cordial relationship with the elders of the Fu family. The villa area was bustling, and Senior Mrs. Su enjoyed her mahjong games. The neighbors often engaged in conversation, and long-term interactions were common.
Following a severe disagreement, Su Lan's parents were deeply upset by the gossip from these individuals. Senior Mrs. Su, who had previously been in good health, developed high blood pressure and was hospitalized several times as a result of the stress.
While moving things out, the phone rang once more. It was Han Kun, who had been trying to reach her multiple times already.
With no other option, Su Lan answered, "What's up?"
Her voice was cool and sharp, momentarily silencing Han Kun. But recalling the question he needed to ask, he quickly spoke up, "I noticed the Su family mansion is up for sale. Are you in some kind of trouble?"
"There's no trouble," she replied. "Anything else? If not, I'm going to hang up."
"Wait, wait, wait!" Han Kun exclaimed. Relieved that she hadn't hung up, he continued, "Look, if there's anything you need, you have to tell me. We're friends, after all."
Fengye took a moment to reflect, then decided against saying anything harsh. She simply responded, "Understood."
Hearing the click of the phone hanging up, Han Kun breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed she was no longer angry with him.
That was a relief. A huge relief.
Over the past six months, she had given Han Kun the cold shoulder. Han Kun appeared to have wised up; even on the rare occasions they crossed paths, he never brought up Fu Yunfei.
He genuinely seemed to have feelings for Su Lan.
The Su family had moved out, and Fengye didn't seem to be avoiding anyone, so the news of their departure quickly spread throughout the villa community.
When Fu Yunfei came home from work and heard about it, he was somewhat bewildered.
It looked like Su Lan had finally moved on. It had been half a year, and she hadn't shown up in front of him once.
Half a month earlier, when he was promoting the Fu family's products and had hired artists from SuXing Entertainment, even though there was a collaboration between the two companies, she had kept her distance, delegating all interactions to her team.
Meanwhile, Lin Huanhuan had just returned from grocery shopping and found Fu Yunfei sitting in the living room, deep in thought.
Without knowing quite why, she approached him and casually mentioned, "I heard that Su Lan's family has moved away."
"Mhm." His monosyllabic reply gave nothing away about his mood.
Yet, observing the stoic Fu Yunfei, Lin Huanhuan suddenly felt a surge of resentment.
Initially, she had been desperate for money to care for her seriously ill mother, which led her to take the well-paying job as a nanny for the Fu family. She had harbored a slight crush on him, but their intimate encounter had been unexpected.
She spent her days tending to his needs, making tea, cooking meals, and was by his side nearly all the time, except when she was in class.
He had started off proud and distant, yet his handsome, commanding presence had slowly etched itself into her heart.
When Su Lan had returned, Lin Huanhuan couldn't help feeling unhappy and jealous.
