The original incident unfolded when her 'ex-girlfriend' decided to re-enter the picture, attempting to sabotage the relationship between them. Ironically, Su Lan's increasing desperation only served to strengthen their bond.

Yet, Lin Huanhuan seemed to still harbor feelings for Han Kun, or so it appeared.

Han Kun turned to see Su Lan propping her chin, gazing thoughtfully into the rearview mirror.

Following her gaze instinctively, he glanced at the rearview mirror and saw Lin Huanhuan standing at the hospital entrance, looking vulnerable and helpless.

"Su Lan," he called out. Once she looked his way, he continued, "You were the one who let go of Yunfei first. He's finally moved on, so why insist on meddling? Do you think that will make you happy?"

"Meddling?" Fengye blinked and nodded. "I did consider it initially, but I've abandoned that idea now."

"What do you mean, no plans?" Han Kun was taken aback. Those words didn't seem like something she would say.

Just then, they stopped at a red light. He braked and looked at her. "Are you serious?"

Fengye nodded. She wasn't Su Lan, and therefore wouldn't be troubled by Fu Yunfei's matters.

Besides, upon receiving Su Lan's memories, she could distinctly sense the woman's regret for her past actions.

Her arrival was meant to turn back time, to start everything anew.

"Why?" Han Kun was puzzled, sensing something odd.

"Why what?" Fengye replied, "I've realized that Fu Yunfei isn't the only option. Is that so wrong?"

Han Kun was at a loss for words, unsure how to respond.

"Are we going or not?" The impatient honking from the car behind them broke the silence, and a driver even leaned out to yell, "Buddy, can't you talk to your girlfriend at home instead of blocking traffic?"

Han Kun snapped out of it. Girlfriend?!

If Su Lan were his girlfriend, how many years would that take off his life? Yet, there seemed to be a different feeling stirring within him...

"Sorry, sorry," Han Kun apologized, shaking his head as he pressed the gas pedal.

"Have you actually come to a realization, or are you just faking it?" Fengye couldn't be bothered to engage with him at the moment.

After a brief pause, Han Kun asked, "So, are you planning to go back to M Country?"

"Why would I go back?" Fengye countered.

"Not going back?" He knew better than to take her words at face value.

He tapped the steering wheel, visibly irritated yet somewhat eager to see what would unfold.

Fengye laughed upon seeing his demeanor. "Han Kun, you don't seriously think I came back just for Fu Yunfei, do you?"

Han Kun remained silent, but his expression said it all.

Fengye was momentarily at a loss for words.

Su Lan's refusal to give up on Fu Yunfei was not only because of genuine affection but also to spite Lin Huanhuan. She detested Lin Huanhuan's act of playing the delicate, innocent girl.

But the primary reason for her return was the family business. As the sole daughter of the Su family, with their enterprise on the decline, she was the only heir. How could she stay away?

Still, Su Lan's actions were something Fengye couldn't overlook. For instance, Su Lan claimed to care, yet she disappeared when the Fu family faced hardships. Now that the Fu family was doing well, she returned, only to find Fu Yunfei with someone new, which left her discontented.
