Triad is the general name of the traditional gangster society in Hong Kong. It is the transformation of the famous anti-Qing and anti-Ming organization, the Heaven and Earth Society (Hongmen). Since many of the roots of Chinese B social organizations can be traced back to the Qing Triad, it is now used, especially in Hong Kong, to refer generally to Chinese B social organizations
