C13 The Grass Is Not Afraid of Anything
Wu Feng had actually made up his mind the moment he avoided the little girl's eyes.
Since there was a man who was willing to believe him in this rotting world and struggle to live on, why couldn't he give him a chance?
However, if he could persuade these survivors to go with him, the chances of the little girl surviving would be higher if more people were to take care of her.
... "" However, after a long time, it was still silent.
The genetic virus was, I must say, an unprecedentedly terrible product. Even a bullet, or a sharp blade, could not terrify a human being so much, and yet, after seeing the virus's product, a man-eating zombie, he was terrified from the bottom of his heart.
"What's your name?"
Wu Feng withdrew his gaze helplessly. He knew that these men had run out of courage, and just now he had turned his head to ask them, but it was to give himself the last bit of courage to compromise, to make the right decision.
He slowly squatted down and lifted up the dirty hair on the little girl's forehead. Then he saw her pure and clean eyes.
"My name is Grass!" the little girl timidly said.
But obviously, when she saw Wu Feng approaching, a trace of surprise appeared in her eyes.
The little girl had originally thought that she was the most useless one, otherwise, she wouldn't have been abandoned by her family. But now, Wu Feng's actions had obviously agreed to her.
"Fine, Grassy, come with me. I can't guarantee how long you can live. Are you afraid?" Wu Feng tried his best to squeeze out a smile.
Even though he had been used to the tragedies of the post-apocalyptic era in his previous life, he could not help but be moved when faced with such a little girl who was full of hope for survival.
"Grassy, don't be afraid!"
Although the little girl answered in such a manner, the trace of panic in her eyes when she glanced out of the door deeply betrayed her.
After all, she was still a child.
It was a lie to say that she was not afraid of those sharp-tongued zombies that lived on human flesh at the age of 13 or 14 years old.
"Alright, then let's go!" Wu Feng understood this, but he nodded with satisfaction. He wasn't afraid of the little girl, but he was afraid that the little girl was scared to the point that she didn't have the courage.
"Maybe, my change will start from this moment!" Holding the little girl's hand, Wu Feng's heart seemed to have a flash of light. In his previous life, he had always lived under the protection of others.
He had always been trying his best to hide at the back.
He had always been as timid as a mouse.
However, he didn't want it to continue like this anymore. Maybe it was also a hope that he could use his own power to protect his own life.
"Big brother, can I help you carry your bag?" The little girl was still staring at the bag on Wu Feng's back.
Because, in the little girl's opinion, this was probably the only thing she could help Wu Feng with right now.
Unfortunately, she didn't know that the weight of the travel bag was way beyond what she could bear.
Wu Feng didn't say anything. He just smiled and touched the girl's head, then he turned around and walked toward the door.
"Crash!" With a sound, the shutter door at the entrance of the supermarket was opened from the inside. Instantly, a dim ray of light shone in, and the corpses on the ground outside and the broken limbs on the ground were also exposed in front of their eyes.
However, the most frightening thing was not the blood that was lying on the ground.
Instead, it was a few zombies that were running around Wu Feng's tank car.
For Wu Feng, those ferocious-looking zombies had long become his prey.
Wu Feng looked at those faces as if he was looking at the flowers and plants on the side of the road.
The little girl was frightened by those zombies, so she stepped back.
Her little face instantly turned pale, and she covered her mouth with her hands to stop herself from making any sound.
In fact, her entire body was trembling, and tears were welling up in her eyes, as if they were about to fall.
